    CORRECTION !!!!!!
    The steering wheel can be adjusted In and Out as well. I am an idiot.
    I tested it, pulled, nothing happened. But it was fully out. That is why.

      Great. This felt like a big disappointment in the video.

      I really do not understand why the driver seat cannot be adjusted / raised in a new car in 2020! It seems like we are going backwards in to the future! For me it is a very basic but important feature. Thank you for the review :)

      @@coolaa it is because the battery.
      It has a lot battery for a small car like this and it is not a SUV like the kona so it limit the possibilty for Seat adjustement.

      It btw also is fully adjustable in the old ZE40 and probably also in the 210/240 ones. It’s just something it got falsely carried around in many “tests”

    Nice walk through. You're the only reviewer that's mentioned the lack of lights in the rear cabin, in the showroom they said there shouldn't be problem because the front cabin lights are fairly bright. The apps missing a few working features in the UK, hopefully they'll update soon.

    Great impartial review. I had only seen reviews before by Zoe fanboys and they all say how good the entertainment systems are etc, you have given a more realistic view to potential buyers. Excellent video.

    More practical than I thought, 385km is nice.
    At first I thought it to be a city car, but is much better than that.

    Such an cumbersome 'gear' selection. Why not place a few buttons instead of that chunky stick?? And what's 'B' mode?

    • @BatteryLife
      @BatteryLife  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      D ist Drive with almost no Regen. B has stronger Regen. B for Brake

    • @jdavison8551
      @jdavison8551 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Henri Zwols having driven it, I found the gear selection a more comfortable and natural evolution than use of buttons. It becomes intuitive very quickly. The chunky stick is actually easy to use and quite reassuring. Why not give it a try? B mode is basically enhanced recuperation, almost 1 pedal driving.

    can somebody explain to me why reverse is forward and drive is backwards on the gear lever, it is not logical to me.

    • @BatteryLife
      @BatteryLife  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is so true. I thought the same.

    • @samirazarzar6279
      @samirazarzar6279 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is exactly the same on my megane , i have drive position backward and reverse position forward. The only difference is that i have park position which is the most forward.
      To me, it feel more natural to have drive position close to me and i think almost all automatic gearbox are like this.

    • @darkmatter6714
      @darkmatter6714 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think it comes from rallying. In rallying the cars have a sequential gearbox, meaning the gear lever only moves forwards and backwards.
      Under hard acceleration, you are pushed back in your seat, so it’s easier to pull on the stick to change up the gears. Under heavy breaking you are thrust forwards towards the steering wheel and so it’s easier to push the stick forward to change down gears. Under those kind of race car forces when your body is thrown forwards and backwards it feels more natural to pull and push to go up and down the gears respectively.
      th-cam.com/video/1COvnSjLLw4/w-d-xo.html
      That system has transferred to some road cars with sequential shift as well. Renault seem to think it should be the same for an EV!

    22kW AC charging, that's Zoe. I like it!
    There are not many 22kW destination chargers but if you have one the Zoe will fill up in no time.
    My car can only charge 1 phase so at most chargers it gets 3,7kW. 😢

    You never answered your question? Has it grown up? Missing features from the old Zoe, trip B, park brake missing, that clonky gear change would annoy me after a while, boot is still only partially trimmed, removed the option to open the charge flap from the key fob, or starting preconditioning was a backwards set. Never understood the seats on the Zoe, zip removable coverings on all seat, but you can't upgrade/customise or such because no one sells replacements (its a trick missed by Renault).

      The price on all EVs seem high at first glance, but once you do your maths the monthly payments on a new car compared to an ICE car are about the same due to the lower running costs of the EV.

    • @AdrianoCROST
      @AdrianoCROST 4 ปีที่แล้ว
