This is actually really neat. I've never really clearly seen the liquid in liquid nitrogen, it always has this kind of cloudy hazy look. This illuminates it enough to make it look like really cold water.
It doesn’t look like “really cold water”. It looks like boiling water, really hot. That’s because the nitrogen is boiling. That’s what’s happening and why you normally only can see the vapor.
