I prefer the version where the banjoist either does 320320(-2>3) on the first string (parentheses here are for the second string) for that one lick, or does 320(-2) in quarter notes. I don't think your usual fluent style works as good for this tune, but it still sounds dope.

Honestly dude I agree with you. That lick partly defines the tune. Yet people have trouble with that lick and I wanted to give them another option as I found this tune sometimes inaccessible because of it. this is one of the rare occasions where replacing string string with Scruggs Style is controversial 😂🪕

@@RickyMier yeah it makes a lot of sense to simplify it since you're doing a series for beginners mostly. I do wish more Don Reno-style stuff was taught as the mainstream though. Your single-string vids are pretty good for it.
