    What leader are you using for your Euro set up? It looks like there are little tags on it. I'm guessing those act as strike indicators?

    • @fisherankney
      @fisherankney  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yep! Basically take a standard euro leader and cut out the white sections, re-tying the orange and green ones to make it more visible leaving the tags from the knots to watch. I think it's easier for me to see strikes and to gauge depth with the little tags - I'm definitely not a euro expert though, this is my first real year doing it

    Gotta love the comments about keeping the name of the river out of the video. If you believe a video like this is going to suddenly make that river become way more popular than it already is, get over yourself. That stretch he is fishing has been well known for decades and if there ever was some kind of secret it disappeared back in the 1990's. The great thing about the South Fork below Anderson is its more or less catch and release plus there's no stocking program because it remains a vibrant healthy wild fishery even with all the pressure from anglers.

    Love that you caught some fish. I just wish people would fish a river film their videos and leave the name out of the video. It common knowledge to try and keep the name of the river OUT of the video if you actually want to be able to fish there again without combat fishing but some people don’t get it

      You can’t keep people away from a body of water that is known he doing nothing wrong from what I can see, let the dude do his thing there’s plenty of water on the planet to be fished not sure why your being greedy over a piece of water🤣

      brother its a 1.5 hour drive from a metro center with half a million people, named after the river that flows through it.
      this place is not a secret.
      ADVOCATE FOR BETTER PRACTICES AND HARDENIGN NOT EXLCUSION AND SECRECY....

      @fisherankney  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Fair point! I do think that rivers I've named aren't much of a secret though - call up any fly shop in Boise and that's where they'll point you. But don't worry, I'll name drop a better river in Montana in a week or so to help take the heat off! Appreciate you watching!
