If you are planning to dine in a Jolibee restaurant in the US, here are some pointers: weekends (saturday and sunday) are packed bcoz thats the time where filipino families get together. So it'll take you some time to go thru the long line just to order and its hard to get a vacant seat/table but the good thing about it is that you get the experience of being around them and somehow know something (even a bit) of their culture when it comes to family. Filipinos are very family oriented; But if you want to enjoy the food more and the place for yourselves, or you dont want to go thru those hassles, weekdays will be ok.
The english translation: The first scene with the small kid... Daddy: Enzo already has diploma... someday we'll replace it with the real one... ok? Kids: (nodded) Yes... 2nd scene: Daddy: 3 grades over 90 but to get to the University you're not supposed to get a grade 89 below Son: Yes Dad... 3rd scene (dad and son practicing in the field) Dad: It's good that we practiced you're defense... look how it turned out... you won. 4th scene: The dad was reminding him to review and dont go out. Further reminding him that he himself and his relatives all graduated from the university and said... Look at us now... Next scene the son was checking.... Then comes the results... The Son holding a crampled paper and saying sad news he didnt pass. The father was quick to comfort his sons saying we are proud of you, you have always been a very good son to us... thats more important.

Yea, the son failed at the end there, but his parents didn't scold him and stuff. They were still proud of him for being a good son (like, didn't do drugs, etc).

Actually its all about accepting the weakness of your child. From childhood he has been a good son followed everythig his dad wants and been successful but the one last thing that his dad wants the most is to pass his entrance exam in college because it runs in the family. All of them graduated from that school but his son failed the exam. Despite that his dad accepted him and reassured him that everything will be alright that life must go on.

Passing/Studying to a well-known University is a VERY BIG DEAL on Filipinos--- cause, you'll END SUCCESSFUL after graduation. And you pay less --- THESE universities are mostly government=owned and had VERY LOW tuition fees (if you are not a scholar, most are scholars, though) ...
