I just finished cutting all the pieces and the slot for the front support and will start assembling this week. Thanks so much for the good instruction and plans from a 75-year-old who loves the smell of wood. Hope it looks similar to yours when done.🤞
Used your side dimensions to build a back yard garden bench. Used the angles from another video. That way I had a sloped seat as well as the back. Used 2x4s for the back and seat instead of 1x4s. Thanks for the help. Turned out really great!
Hey man thank you for the video, I couldn't afford the plans but I ended up using your video to get a basic idea to build these beautiful chairs. Thank you so much from a young woodworker. If you need any black walnut slabs let me know brother. Thank you
Great plans! I used pressure treated lumber because cedar is hard to come by and expensive these days and widened it by 2 inches. I also beefed up the seat and back slats with 5/4 PT deck treads because I had them left over. Very Happy with the outcome. Once it dries out I'll seal it and paint it and it should last a heck of a long time!
Same here. Using treated lumber and having it sit 2 inches higher. I have my kids (and my handyman) building it RN for fathers day. Will last forever and mean tons when my handyman friend is dead and my kids are out of the house. It will be more than a chair to me.
good afternoon it was my first job you sneezed at me in 2018 i had an accident being unable to work because i decided to sit down and do something to pass my time i saw your videos
Built mine, turned out pretty darn sweet. I did use pine for price but still turned out really nice. Already have people wanting some. Thanks for the video and lists.
Great work! I'm trying to do this without a table saw and with scrap wood. I love how after the 100 steps, you just say, "and that's all there is to it" at the end. =)
great video I made on patio chair from another video and I had a hard time figuring out the angels, I originally wanted to make 4 but I stopped at one because I didn't like that process. I'm going to give this one a try it looks easier to understand thanks
Hey Pete, very nice work. Your Carpenter skills are fantastic. Smooth video editing, and amazing quality. Great voice overs. Over all, I absolutely love watching and learning from your videos. And I've given your website a few visits as well. Keep up the great work! Cheers from Wisconsin. ❤
Just subscribed to your channel bud, you are making awesome projects and videos, keep up the great work! Hope all is well over in Germany. I stopped over in February to do some site seeing and thought it was a really neat place. Have a good evening!
Nice project! I may have to build a couple of these. The only thing I might consider adding would be decorative supports underneath the armrest overhang. Great job!
I didn`t intend to utilize this woodworking website, *TopFineWoodworking. Com* but rather curious about it. I was truly impressed after trying it. I was looking to find out more about the art of woodworking, and was not dissatisfied. I found several topics such as wood types and designing your workshop.
Thanks so much for your awesome projects! I would love to see you do something in a taller (bar height) version of this, maybe even an outdoor pub table to match?
Thanks for amazing video and details. I used basic concepts from your video and the plan but built using walnut. For structure i used walnut gun stocks which i bought from the company which looks like going out of business. So used 4 gun stocks $5 each and for seat/back and armrest used some other reclaimed really old walnut milled in 1952. Enjoyed the overall build process. I hope you like how it came out.
Great plans, thanks! I had to make one modification - I lack the skills to make the notch in the front legs for the 2x6 (gave up after two tries) so just cut the 2x6 shorter (25”) and used 4” screws from the sides. Seems to hold OK. I made two of them, and (once I got over my roadblock of the notches) they were super easy to build.
I`m retired and have a small shop where I perform woodturning, create musical instruments, and some cabinetry. I have a shelf full of woodworking textbooks - but I found this woodworking guide, *TopFineWoodworking. Com* . The comprehensiveness of this book is surprising. It has decent coverage on every topic.?
i kinda liked how the screws looked at the end, i guess its up to personal preferences but i would have definitely kept them! Really nice project thow! probably doing it asap
Hi There, I am planning to make the patio chair and I am pretty new at wood work. You mentioned that you can use pocket holes. I have the Kregg Jig and my question is where would you use the pocket holes in the plans.
I bought the plans with the intent to modify for some RH cushions I picked up. Could you tell us the depth of the seat, from the front to the back rest slats?
Have you given into Internet Trolls? I must say that the way you said the word "measure" (and other words) in previous videos was noticeable to me, as I am from New England; but it was EVEN MORE noticeable that you have changed you pronunciation in this video. Your videos and projects are great. Inventive, creative and informative. You have over 60,000 subscribers because of this reason and not because of your accent. Either way, keep up your great work and I will as always look forward to your next video and project.
Hi! Thanks so much for chiming in the Hayes! Yeah being from South Dakota and growing up we've always said things a little different -- like bag, rag, etc. I was so sick of all the comments on how I say measure that I tried for the video to say it differently. Great point. Embrace it :) Will do from here on out man. Thanks for the encouragement. Maysure it is :) THANK YOU so much for the message, for subscribing, and for you support. Much appreciated! Cheers man. - Pete
Very nice chairs. Sadly I'm living in country where it's almost impossible to get a inch tape measure. So had to redraw the chair in SketchUp to get consistent metric measurements to build them. All said and done they really nice, even cut the leg shorter on two of them for the mother inlaw that is really short... great, thx
64 Yr old female... followed your plans very happy. If I can do it ....

thank god I found you, finally one that showed step by step perfect!
The finished product makes it look like it was hard to make, but this guide shows it’s easy if you know what you’re doing

Cheers from Atlanta! I’m a rookie woodworker but I’ve enjoyed this build thus far
Great to hear from you! I hope all is well down in Atlanta!
I'm making a full set of a sofa and two chairs from your plans for our screened in porch. Made the first chair and it runed out great.
I'll give this one a shot. Thanks.
New woodworker here but I will definitely make these-thank you for the upload!
