This is something I've been meaning to do for a while, just been waiting for the car to actually be together, although it won't stay that way for long! This car is far from perfect, but I'm happy with how far it's come, still so much more to come!

Really liked the way this whole video was filmed and I actually was curious on how you got the audio sounding so good lol but I’ve always like the ls400’s and it’s been awesome seeing this go from just your basic looking car into what you’ve made it into today. Really looking forward to seeing where you take it in 2020. But you also made a lot of good points in the end like not taking a build too far and keeping your car drivable and usable. But big fan of this style of video and also that clip of you airring out while driving is fucking wild lol
Love the build I'm getting ready to start on my own ls400 build it's a 91 ls400 I bought it for $300 runs and drives I already started gathering up parts for it
I’m guessing the interior is fucked up and has over 250k miles and also needs a new power steering pump
Bobby Hill 300 bucks is still a steal with all the issues you mentioned
The interior is a little chewed up and most of the lights don't work but that stuff is easy to fix
Skylar Allred Yeah I was wondering cause I’ve seen some Lexus’s that go for 800 bucks but don’t even run and interior is fucked so you finding that Lexus for 300 is a life miracle

I feel the same as you when you said you don't want to change too much on your car. I got an E30 bagged on 16" (3piece) and mostly rebuild original parts that looked bad, only exception being original special-edition sideskirts+frontlip. I don't know what else to do other than maybe tryhard a new interior but that would just be for the sake of changing something. Anyways sick car and vid als always!

Great visuals, clarity( mic ) specs & explanations...love Lexus, Scion, & Toyoda reliability, fit & finish. No other car company can compare or compete with the UZFE, URFE, GRFE engine families.
Serialnine is Canadian based. T-DEMAND, 326POWER, SerialNine, Megan Racing, then Godspeed is the order of suspension arms choice for LS400 imo. Godspeeds are great for the price!

If there’s one thing I’ve learned in the car community it’s that all the best cars have subtlety done custom work vs cheap bolt on shit that make people think rice, so rice isn’t so much what you put on ur car(tho it still is) it’s also abt how much effort and time was put into the car

Solution for the rear bumper, keep it stock looking, but extend it a couple inches.
Kenneth Eskridge I’ve seen it done very poorly many times. I also hate working with the factory plastic after doing the front bumper!

I actually just found a badgeless grill on ebay without the outer part. Also made from taiwan like the one you bought. I believe it might be the same guy and he only sold one on ebay. It says that its brand new never used.

Love it. I just prefer the original front of the LS400 not feeling the bug eye look like a IS 300 or Toyota altezza, it screws the body line front to back. The original LS 400 is still the best looking LS model imo. All thanks to Mr Kazuo Okamoto vision. Ps I own the ls and ls 430 and I think the original box boy head lights look better on the 430 I'm doing it now, so try not....wow now that I have had a closer look at the head light and tag light....it's horrible the lenses don't align the interior fitment of the Led cluster looks like Sonics back and the cut out on the fender is painful to look at, let alone the big ass gap inside the marker housing on the bottom right. Omg who ever made these for you? I would need my $ Back low standards are ho standards.
I have a 94 Lexus LS 400
the ls400 is great .. But 430s are getting cheaper ( currently own one) and they are generally a nicer looking car ( especially vip style) with an upgraded 3uz engine. Not shaming 400 owners just stating my opinion.
The 01-03 430's look like a blob. 04-06 might be the nicest Lexus LS design there is, but they're not exactly close to LS400 prices.
@@kayagocebe315 I Disagree. The "blob" headlights are what gives the car its early 21st Century Japanese look a and they make the car standout. My family is fortunate to own both 2004 and The 2001 model and they both have the same lighting capacity. The 5speed trany on my 01 is also more robust id have to say.

boobbutthole the first generation is the ugly child! This car, the second generation with the facelift in 98 is the best! Motor made more power and the styling is perfect!
No I’ve always liked the older Cressidas and chasers the first generation has similar looks and has the thickest rods

MrJZX90 bit of an awkward one there, the material was kinda fucked up and I was supposed to be promoting the company... but obviously I’m not gonna promote a bad product. Anyway, they said it would be taken care of, but hasn’t and now I get ignored 😂 so yeah bare with me while I find a better supplier for chrome tint!
