This collection has brought back very many happy memories of my youth in Beeston ('43 to '61). Many happy hours spent train spotting on the buffers by the footbridge. Sticking halfpennies on the line with chewing gum - and then hiding in case of a derailment. Walking to the library across the brickfields. Waiting for Grandad as he hopped off the tram at the sharp bend in Beeston Hill. Chatting to the stable lads in Ringtons. I could go on for hours. Best wishes to all who remember Beeson as it was.

I have just returned home having taken my Mother (86) on a memory lane drive around this area , we lived in Westwood Street (1960)near West Hunslet Liberal club which still stands now a mosque , and found this video very very fond memories indeed .

Arron Bond is too young to remember when this area was solid artisan and lower middle class. When the blazers of Cockburn wereworn with pride and the only ethnics were the parishioners at St Anthonys.
    Such happy days back then

That's the past. Beeston will continue to become a shithole and only get worst.

@@aidan1707 Hi Aidan , thanks for your reply , I appreciate it. I think you are about a 100 yards out. I've investigated and found out it was under the bridge on "Millshaw". See atttached video at 16m12secs.(The rest of the video is interesting as well).
