Jang Ok Jung is underrated. It's SO good and well-executed drama that it's ashamed they don't get what they deserved. I think Koreans still can't accept that she's portrayed as a good character. But every human has the good and bad side, that's what this drama wants to convey.
It's not that they can't accept she's portrayed good, even in Dong Yi she was portrayed as a tragic rather evil character. The story is just too inaccurate. They practically demonized a lot of other good characters just to make Jang ok Jung look good and that was a turn off even for me an international watcher
We've all probably seen Jang Ok Jung on the bad side of most dramas. But I'm really grateful to the creators of this story. Because it made many of us understand Jang Ok Jung. But no one can know because history is written by the victors.
this song always reminds me with the scene when the king steps his feet into the dirty pond just to get close with ok jung. imo this scene is one of the best scenes in korean dramas i've ever seen- very romantic yet still portrays the beauty of unconditional love. love it!!!
Kim Tae Hee finally improved her acting..omg her chemistry with yoo ah in is just I can't even put it in words. I can't breathe when they're together or when they think about each other.. It's too overwhelming...Although it's true she was portrayed as evil in Dong Yi, in truth, no one knows what she was really like in the past. We only hope that the kings and queens in the past were as beautiful as this drama. But if not, it's fine. We're humans. Move on!
I have watched lot of Korean TV Series. But this TV series is the BEST. Their Chemistry with each other, dialogues, traditional clothing, background music was perfect and beautiful to watch. The TRUE LOVE king had towards Okjung was portrayed perfectly. It makes every one believe in True Love. Please make tv shows like this one. Regards from Sri Lanka.
This drama is really good. I don't understand why people don't watch it. This drama move at a right pace. Doesn't even make you feel bored or make you feel that it is long winded. It always stay in your mind wonder what will happen at the next episode.

Perhaps the wisest king portrayal in all history of saeguks. Yoo Ah In truly made us all think that he meant serious business... he did not come to play. His chemistry with Kim Tae Hee was really one for the books. We wept, laughed, and fell in love just watching them. Truly makes it hard for us to forget.

This drama deserve more. I wish Ok Jung stay with Lee Soon to the end, stay with him helping him go through his days as king 😭 but world are against them. I wish there’s another drama with Tae Hee and Ah In, their chemistry are impressive
One of the drama that made me cried a lot. i love how strong their love was for each other, and not losing hope no matter how much people were trying to tear them apart...........T-T..........but that is also the reason why one has to leave for the other one to be safe.
I just started watching Jang ok jung, up to date with the episodes...and I am hooked big time. Love the story and I like the way they portray the characters. "Even the strongest and purest of hearts will be shifted for the sake of survival!!!"
Didn't think I would like this drama that much but omg it's one of the few dramas where I didn't skip constantly. I'm in love with this drama. Gotta say it's the best 2013 drama yet!!! Love their acting and their chemistry!
