Home repair and Maytag Wringer washer update.

Home repair working on the outside trim replacing boards and painting. Repaired 3 areas of trim that has started to rot over time. I just moved into the house in May and started repairs and upgrades. The Maytag wringer washer was left at the house and to my surprise the motor still runs the agitator but there are a few problems to resolve.

It doesn't look like the wringer is engaged. The bar on top of the wringer head needs to be locked.

Thank you for watching and suggestion. I have pulled that top piece off several time and that is as far down as I can make it go. When the bar is parallel with wringer it is locked and I can't pull it up. It does rock back and forth a little and the two rollers are tight. squeeze. I will work on that more to see if I can make it stop rocking.
