    2,000 tons and does ice breaking kind of small for that by world standards!!

    A lot of functionality in a pretty small vessel. I was surprised by the top speed. It won't be catching any speedy prey.

      well if the hull is designed to break ice (wide bow and flattening out fast to the keel) it's not necessarily going to be speed demon! even the Russian nuke breakers top out at 24 knots!

    This is how to design a patrol vessel and only 77 million dollars per vessel. It would be lower if it hadn't been icebreaker at the same time. Compared to the US OPVs/cutters it still is a bargain.
