Major decisions were taken in the Himachal Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu on Friday. In the cabinet meeting, approval was also given to limit the subsidy to 'one family one meter' to rationalize the provision of zero electricity bill for domestic consumers and to link the electricity connection with ration card (Aadhar seeded). It has been decided to end the entire subsidy for the Chief Minister, former Chief Ministers, Assembly Speaker, Deputy Speaker, Ministers, former Ministers, MPs, former MPs, MLAs, former MLAs, Board Chairmen, Advisors, OSD, IAS, IPS and HAS officers, besides all first and second class employees of the state government, corporations, boards including forest and judicial officers, all category-A and category-B contractors and all income tax payers.
