Welcome, World Equestrian Games! Slideshow of Horse Mania in Lexington, KY--NO RECIPE--

Betty and her husband, Rick, welcome the World Equestrian Games to Lexington, Kentucky. We visit Thoroughbred Park in Lexington and then show a slideshow of "Horse Mania," which is a tribute to the thoroughbred horse. Horse Mania is a display of decorated fiberglass horses that are placed throughout the state of Kentucky during the horse-racing season. This display has been going on for several years, and is growing (being particularly emphasized this year with the World Equestrian Games coming to Lexington, Kentucky). The WEG began in 1990 and are held every 4 years. This is the first time they have been held in the United States. The WEG will be held at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky, from September 25 - October 10 this year. There are 8 events for horse and rider athletes to compete in. This is an exciting time to be in Kentucky, and we are honored to live so close to the events, which are of interest worldwide.
