I do have a buying rule....Never buy the first one you see and want...always look around then come back....walking away does entice dealer to want to barter with you..GREAT SHOW SPEG!!!

We went to the show too! It was SOOOOO FUN! No pun intended ... who am I kidding? Yes it was! Lol 🤣😎🤝 also... side note @spegtacular the parking garage next to the hotel across the street. Park there. MUCH shorter walk. And we somehow managed free parking lol

Went to the show from Thurs to Sat. My first big show. I was quite blown away. Had a great time. Picked up alot of nice goodies. FYI the Jan show according to the fun show website will have about 1200 dealers to be held at the larger concourse across the street. Now that will be a massive event. 4 full days! Thur thru Sun. Thanks Speg!

went yesterday. Was surprised most of the vendors were packing up by 1 PM when it closed at 5 PM.
That is the only thing that sucked about Sunday. But, I did get some cool coins that day. Saturday was better though.

@@coincadecollecting2978 oops, I’m on vacation this week. Losing track of my days. Yep, I went Friday and Saturday. There were quite a few empty tables on Saturday and quite a few dealers packed up and went home early.

True, but if they suspect you did anything, they would downgrade it significantly I think. If you don’t plan to regrade it, guess it does not matter. Good luck with it , it is a pretty coin, I bought one from the mint when issued. Bill

around the 34 minute 40 second you picked up that rhode island and decided not to buy it, thank you for that, I need that one for my own collection and knowing it wasn't purchased gives me that much more of an opportunity to find it haha

I'm attending their conference in January for the first time. I have a 1933-D Oregon half dollar I am getting graded so I am excited to see what grade it gets.

Great show! Grabbed a few coins I needed to finish my 7070 Type Set. Looked for a 1916d Merc to finish that album but no luck, they are getting really scarce and going way up in price.

I just bought an uncirculated Libertad 1983 coin and each reverse is different. I got the snake biting into a cobra.

Bigfest show ive been too is the Denver gem and mineral show lol takes place for like 9 or 10 days and is in three different areas if denver with over a 1,000 sellers. But these coin shows are starting to peak my interest in checking them out! I dont think they have many where i live tho

I went Saturday and Sunday. I agree, great show. My wife spent more than I did. I have my classic commemorative half dollars in a Dansco album. I also found a Bridgeport and a Columbia SC to go in my album. Glad to see you got an Oregon Trail. It’s certainly one of the most iconic American coins. Are you going to the Citrus County show on Sunday? I’m going to try to get there.

nice one. but I would never use a pencil eraser on a precious metal coin. your finger could cause micro scratches imagine what an eraser would do
Why would your finger cause a scratch?
Your finger nail can cause hairline scratches. Your MS69 would be numismatically ruined if you put a pencil eraser to those spots. Grading services will detail grade your coin 100x out of 100. If you are wanting to conserve the coin send it in to NGC’s conservation service and they will conserve that coin for you. But man you spent a good chunk of change on that coin and you have been looking for one for a while, do not ruin it by trying to conserve it.

It's not a ridiculous drive, but I wish it was going on Sunday. Should have taken a day off... like yesterday! Might be a good time too look for one of those reverse proof Eagles 🤔 ... don't have much in the way of Fancy!
Saw my first reverse proof Buffalo's. Those are amazing coins.
So, I went to the show. A little overwhelming for a simple stacker, but picked up a few descent deals and learned a ton. Was a killer experience!
I kind of like the new ASE reverse, and think it's an improvement on the old one. Just don't like the new gold reverse though.
They put sticker over QR and bar codes because they don't want you to scan it with PCGS or NGC verification software because the coin facts and price comes up. I scanned you QR code and the 1885 1$ came up as 250.00 so he was close and its still a nice coin.

@@Spegtacular ide get it checked out by Guy, Coin Guy, or your other dealer friend. They seem to be pretty knowledgeable, plus they may have a tool that can detect fakes through the slab...plus side is you have all that rigmarole paperwork that each deale5 filled out... so hopefully if it is fake, you can get your money back and hopefully you also may have some footage of the transaction
Will ruin the grade with eraser! Puts small abrasions on the coin you will see under a magnifying glass. It’s worse than a harsh clean
#2 eraser has small bits of silica that will scratch the metal. Especially gold! Best using silver dip

Not a premiere. I did shoot a live video on Instagram and it was pretty lengthy so I felt the need to transfer that video over to TH-cam so that you all could see it here as well...since it did have a lot of footage of the event and coins/bullion.
