    I want to know if this technology will help with mental disorders like bi-polar or schizophrenia

      Down the road, it's quite possible. With all neurological diseases, the first hurdle is delivery: how does a clinician safely deliver a therapy to specific cells in the brain? The second hurdle with disorders like schizophrenia and bipolar disorder is that they have strong genetic components, but multiple genes are implicated. The research will likely progress from simpler to more complex diseases over time, but the basic principles remain the same.
