Is there any guide that shows step by step on how you setup your relations and the parts to the relations before hand? The video seems to assume you have all that setup.
    Thanks.

Just to understand Swood better....How is this different than creating and using smart components with in native Solidworks?

    • @TriMechGroup
      @TriMechGroup  2 ปีที่แล้ว

Hi Troy, as you say there are initially many similarities between smart components, SWOOD connectors and SWOOD boxes. Smart components are a great way of working, however they do have many limitations that can be addressed with SWOOD.
When adding items in with SWOOD you don't have to spend time manually positioning the component and you don't have to worry about manually selecting references or faces and with SWOOD you can build in much more intelligence.
To put it briefly, smart components are great for simple repeatable singular items, but with SWOOD you can build rule-based templates into your models that are faster, more flexible and more efficient. This will help speed up the creation of cams, dowels, clamex, drawers, hinges and much, much more.
If you’d like to learn more about SWOOD’s capabilities please check out our other videos or visit our website here. www.solidsolutions.co.uk/solidworks/manufacturing/wood.aspx

Hello. Your videos are very interesting. I start working at SWOOD. I can't solve the problem, maybe you can suggest a solution. Having laid out the details in Nesting, generating the code in Encoding Debugger throws an error (TEFICNCode:Util:EvalMoti erreur: VALUE OUT OF RANGE
    ENCODING STOPPED
    [EFICNCode Util: Syntaxel erreur.
Evaluation de la syntaxe-2009 mot-6000 Ligne
    Number
(EFICNCode: Codage: Coder erreur: CAN NOT EVALUATE MACHINING OPERATION SYNTAX: POCKET MILLING). What can be the solution? what can be the solution? Thank you.

It is not rational to apply the operator
    «If...Then...Else»
    Use operator
    «Select...Case»
    for instance
Dim number As Integer = 8
    Select Case number
    Case 1 To 5
    Debug.WriteLine("Between 1 and 5, inclusive")
' The following is the only Case clause that evaluates to True.
    Case 6, 7, 8
    Debug.WriteLine("Between 6 and 8, inclusive")
    Case 9 To 10
    Debug.WriteLine("Equal to 9 or 10")
    Case Else
    Debug.WriteLine("Not between 1 and 10, inclusive")
    End Select
    Good luck!
