- From small batches in a kitchen to producing 1.5 million chocolate chip cookies a day, Tate's Bake Shop in Southampton will go on after its acquisition by Mondelez International Inc., for $500 million. CBS2's Jennifer McLogan reports.

Another great family owned business. Goes off to corp. They wil keep it same for 2 maybe 5 years then start changing ingredients to save money. Plus the factory will be move to mass prod. Garbage.

I just bought some from Krogers here in Houston. When I visit the Hamptons in NY; I definitely will go to this bakery.

Additiive best besides mint oreos. But what does the butter do to your gall bladder and salt your liver? Even a few? Love them anyway but can't open them.

I was always a big soft and chewy cookie type of person so I tried these are freaking delicious, the chocolate chunks are just the right size and quantity.

They are so good! They remind me of Pepperidge Farm but a little better. It looks like the recipe and care of making the cookies have remained the same. Yum!
OK so I’m from New Jersey and the pharmacy that I used to go to family run place used to get the original Tates cookies driven down from Long Island. The ones you buy in the store good but they’re not as amazing as the originals if you ever see the ones in the clear package they are the originals get them they will blow your mind. Don’t get me wrong the store ones are good but just not as good as the ones from the bakery direct.
