A new Stizzl speculation video... This kinda takes me back to the golden era of silksong theories maybe 2 or 3 years ago, with Deepdocks proletariat and Mythreel
I really like aquatic themed areas in games as well as sea life, so the areas you talked about in this video are some of my most hyped ones. I do hope that you are right about these areas having some big lore significance, because that would be a very interesting way to go to expand the lore of the universe as a whole.
Now that Ive actually thought about it water is quite similar to void to a bug at least, if you watch an ant or other similarly sized bud touch water they get sucked in similar to the void tendrils trying to pull you in.
As far as I can tell from the Hunters journal and Dream Nail dialog the jellyfish enemies in Fog Canyon including Uumuu seem to be the creations or experiments of Monomon
That reminds me, I did want to include Monomon into the video... but I forgot :'D Monomon using a different language (aka all the lore tablets in the teacher's archive) could also be a remnant of an ancient species, with Monomon still being a living descendant. At least that would explain the stark contrast in language
@@Stizzl I don't think Monomon's lore tablet are written in an ancient language. Why? Because the lore tablets in the Soul Scantum are titled record Aba and record Cenda. Monomon's lore tablet use the word aba too and the CH in the tablets be short for Cenda. So my guess is that Monomon's tablets are written in common Hollowknight "buglish" That or it is computer code you know because Monomon is an archiveest. Monomon is old for sure but the oldest NPC in Hollowknight IMO is probably Mask Maker and Monomon I would assume is around the same age of the other dreamers IE much younger than Mask Maker
Ooooo interesting speculation Stizzl! I'd be so excited if there was an underwater level in Silksong, I've honestly always been a big fan of underwater levels and diving mechanics 💙
I don't think names like Deep Docks or Greymoor relate to whether they used to be underwater. Deep Docks is said to be built "atop (and within) a lake of lava", giving it its name. The name Greymoor could relate to a dock, and I've theorized before that it was. But it more likely relates to another definition of moor, and expanse of uncultivated grassland. Which more closely describes what we see of the area. With all of this said, I do still agree both Pharloom and Hallownest were at some point underwater.
I think from what we have seen, Greymoor does seem to be similar to a swamp. You are right about the Deep Docks btw, it would make sense that that is where it got its name.
@@Stizzl The swamp I believe is actually the citadel base. Which was said to be amongst tangled roots (in Seth's description). And is separate from Greymoor.
I would love it if the Abyss DLC content gets reborn in Silksong, like the Bone Forest stuff. I also agree with your views on the Steel Clan, though I can't quite bring myself to believe that Sharpe is a Void being just yet.
You know what we can found at high depths, is the remain of ancient life, is black and gooey and is often related with both freedom and death? Void. You know what else? Indeed, void is the Hollow Knight equivalent of petroleum.
Also the delicate flowers are says to originate from a far away land and if I’m not mistaken sharp also in his character description is said to come from a far away land 🤔 huh
Yesssss indeed! I go into stuff like that in my theory about Lace, where I said that I think Lace is connected with the butterflies, who seem similar to the delicate flowers
Ooooo noice theory it also makes me wonder if pharloom/hallownest could fill up again like little holes in the ground filling up with rain and then draining over and over as the ground absorbs water though i dont think that is the case its an interesting thought :)
What if wats happening here is that pharloom is actually in the process of turning into something like the abyss in Hallownest and maybe the delicate flowers are responsible for forcing all the life below resulting in the creation of more void since we know things wen they die live behind imprints of void ?
I don't think that void will be *that* central to the story of Pharloom. But I do think that the characters that are connected to void will have plans to change Pharloom, even if it is more... hidden, in a way
and they shouldnt be. they should hunger. thirst even. let them starve /j jokes aside i find it silly to believe that all hollow knight youtubers have secret information or whatever, thats like saying disney youtubers get exclusive info from disney about upcoming projects lol@@Stizzl
What about groundwater than a sea? Mb there is a river (called "sea" by the locals bugs cause they are tiny) somewhere near the Farloom? Remember about size!
Well, we don’t know enough about Silksong to utterly rebuke your theory and burn you on a stake. With Hollow Knight, one could make the arguments about, “Oh, Team Cherry liked it and put it in the game!” Or, “Oh, they just wanted to honor Super Metroid with the jellyfish.” But, is that really accurate? I don’t think so. The water theory could help explain the naturally formed column in the abyss? Idk, I’m too lazy to come up with any good arguments for or against you.

The good old days
@@Stizzl It really was the golden days of the Silksong community.
@@Soulkinthehuman Don't worry, mate. Silksong will release someday :)
I haven't watched the video but I can confirm the last question is a definitive yes

I very much agree, and I think we got a good shot that some of this will come true, at least that is my optimism speaking

Glad you enjoyed the theory, Stella :3
Yes I knew someone was going to bring this up
new Lore video yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah
now I can get over a bit of the silksong withdrawel
When you first said it I immediately understood, a lot of hallownests fossils look like ammonites and nautiluses.

Can't wait to play Subknightica
Imagine if after they make their next game (I think it’s called Fearless Fox) they make a game for that 2nd dlc character that definitely isn’t Zote.
Maybe Iselda? She mentioned she has quite a backstory
@@twistedcoasters1533 Honestly I wouldn’t mind an Iselda DLC if that means we get more bapanada

It’s actually crazy how much this community can talk about a paragraph of information and a few minutes of gameplay

Damn, the US is gonna invade Pharloom for oil
I could totally see this being the case, why didn't I see it before. This is very well thought out and put together. well done.

Crumbs, my favorite

Man, those kingdoms really used to be submerged superstructures huh...
They really were
No way we are making lore videos for an unreleased game.. 😭
I love it though
Counter point wyrms have been around long before anything and if youre syaing they swam through void that has alot of conotation
Wyrms are older than most small bugs, not necessarily older than every living being or void itself as far as I know
What about groundwater than a sea? Mb there is a river (called "sea" by the locals bugs cause they are tiny) somewhere near the Farloom? Remember about size!
Very cool.
The Joni lore expands...
Mmmm... the crunchy, refreshing taste of Lifeblood Original™ Joni's Juice™, now with more ore!
Wait until you try the Pure Pale Ore Protein Powder, that shit is hype
@@Stizzl "I can upgrade your ripped bod to a shredded bod, but I'll need 2 doses of Pale Ore™ Protein Powder™, and 800 geo."
my theory is that sharpe is not actually made of void and is instead made of black sharpie ink
but thats just a theory... *A GAME THEORY*
Lol I knew someone would write that
what if it was under the void a long long time ago
Yeah it was raining
A whole lot of rain
This channel is just MatPat Lite at this point.
Except some of my theories will actually be correct 😎
PK drank all the sea water (canon)
