Thing is, New Balance has always been a thing for true sneakerheads, way before the 550 hype. NB only got more popular, I wouldn’t say it’s considered a trend.

Richie you and Tan are wearing 550’s except instead of new balance it has a Louis Vuitton logo. You have to admit It is a very similar silhouette. It’s all love but I have to call a spade a spade.
New Balance always have a hot wave like every 5-8 years or so. I remember when the ALD's came out, so many people in these comments were like, "NB's are a staple now to the sneaker community, they won't fall off anymore, they're here to stay!" And I was trying to tell them, NB does this like every 5-8 years, they trend for a bit, & then fall off the trend again. Before the ALD hype, they had a hot run in the earlier 2010s as well. They only people who wear NB's whether it's trendy or not, are the real NB fans. Also in regard to Cameron Brinks' potential signature shoes, I don't think it matters who's behind the shoes. If the shoe is hot, it's hot. Look at how well the Sabrina's are selling. Sabrina 1s & 2s are both 🔥 looking hoop shoes & they seem to perform well. And I don't get the hate with Dunks either. I personally never had any, but it feels like ever since the Panda's became a GR, everyone started hating on Dunks for no reason lol. Imo, they're a great classic daily sneaker. If I was still in school & going back to school shopping, whether it's Elementary, MS, HS, or College, those would definitely be one of my top shoes of GR's or shoes that are readily available at Footlocker, Champs, etc. They aren't bad looking, & they always have nice colorways. If I was in school, I'd go for shoes like AF1s, Dunks, any Retros, Timberlands, etc. Basically any classics, classics never fall out of style.
Dunks have had a wave back and forth too. 2015 you'd see great collab dunks actually hit Ross. I have some from then. Hell I have my made in USA nb from those same discount stores back then. Nike Spiridon went to Ross ( I have a pair) lemme just rewind. Every brand has had a wave and it goes up and down. Look at Hoka... hitting like LA gear used to as they are hot at the moment
@@kevincollins8620 Yup, exactly. For me personally, I look at Dunks as a classic sneaker though, similar feeling with Blazers, AF1s, Air Max, Cortez, they're all classic silhouettes. Can't go wrong with any of them imo, if you're just looking for some daily shoes. But yeah, Dunks did have a hype wave back then & recently.
The best thing bout arcteryx is that the dam thing works....I hikes and travel a lot and sometime it rains so its nice to have a reliable piece I can toss in my bag for those rainy days. @@masterdinosawr Of course you can be into clothing/sneakers without needing that outside validation but I’d bet a vast majority of us who are into fashion do appreciate standing out from the crowd and receiving positive words.
