It's amazing, this isn't even modded. This is just what happens whenever Peter tries to play any game, the character turns into yellow electric rat sonic.
Also I thought I recognised the voice, Sonichu seems to be voiced by Mirage in Apex.
Fun fact-when Peter created earth he dud so with pokemon in mind.

Okay not gonna lie, a game like Stray where we play as a cat as we go on this emotional journey but with Pikachu, no battles just music, exploration, sight seeing does sound kinda game of the year material.

I was sad when I realized that this game didn't have Sonic, but instead had Frontiers.

NOTHING MORE FRUSTRAITING THAN POP UP TUTORIAL BOXES WHEN YOU'RE MID RUN that pauses your action. Pop up in the center, then shift to one of the sides. So you can continue to play, read it if you want, or ignore it and figure it out, on your own.

This looks relatively normal for us, but in actuality this would be like dark souls for Pikachu
This was the funniest I've laughed in a long time, since Sonic in Mario Sunshine and the Pokémon Snap videos... I could NOT stop laughing, seriously. This was pure comedic gold
on a real note, how did peter manage to find/create a mod so quickly for this game?
There are probably some model swapping tutorials online. The game had mods for SA1 Sonic and Unleashed Sonic since day 1, possibly even before that because leaks were a thing
So either somebody already had this mod made, or he ripped a Pikachu model and followed the tutorial to make it himself
Well, I mean, just few hours after release there were already some mods that swap Sonic with SA Sonic and '06 Sonic, so it's not that big news. Also since it's engine is practically the same as previous games, that makes modding that game a lot easier anyways
Back in May he tweeted about commissioning someone to replace Sonic's model with someone like Pikachu
