    Does auto focus work when using moment lens.. cinematic mode on iphone 14?

    • @photoswithphones
      @photoswithphones  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Good question. You might have issues in the native camera app because the software doesn’t like the lenses. I shoot in the BeastCam Pro Camera app, but you can’t use the cinematic mode in the app.

      It's just a cheap amazon one that comes with a ring light! Seriously nothing exciting.

    I am looking to add a lens to my IPhone SE 2nd Gen. I film concerts from my phone and I would like to know which one would be the best lens to make better concert videos?

    • @photoswithphones
      @photoswithphones  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I would say the 14mm if you’re looking for a cool vibe, 18mm if you want to capture everything as you see it, and/or the 58mm if you want close ups.
      Sorry for the delay but hope it helps!!

    Can the moment t series 58mm tele lens be placed directly on the iphone without the case?

    • @photoswithphones
      @photoswithphones  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Nope - you have to mount the lens!!

    • @photoswithphones

      Yep - the M-Series phone case is from Moment. You may also like the BeastCage from BeastGrip, but the latter is more designed for serious mobile filmmakers.

    Thanks man! Appreciate the video. I get a shaky look with my wide lens though. Same I got the SE and the mounting case. Any idea why the footage looks choppy? Maybe I´m doing something wrong

    • @photoswithphones
      @photoswithphones  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the kind words! Do you get shaky footage with the native lens or with the Moment wide lens attached? Or both?
      I find the footage is smoothest when I shoot in 120 fps and/or with a tripod. Let me know if you have any other questions🤓🤙

    Great explanation of the use case of these lens. And thanks for the good ideas to turn the Phone upside down, and use AE/AF lock, my wife blame me that I make her looks shorter in the photo and I don't want to do squat a lot to take photos, now I know how to deal with that. Learn a lot from you, thanks man.

    Is anamorphic lense good for photography? I have se 2020 too, n interested to buy the anamorphic one, is it worth the price?

    • @photoswithphones
      @photoswithphones  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good question! You can certainlly do photography with Moment's anamorphic lens but the aspect ratio (the desqueezed 2.40:1) is bad for sharing photos on social media (typically 4:3 or 3:4). I've also found that the lens flares don't pop as much in photos as they do in the videos.
      I hope this helps!

    • @dicephalous9076
      @dicephalous9076 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@photoswithphones thanks for the response my g, so when I take photos with anamorphic and upload to Instagram instead what will it looks tho? What "bad" things that u mean?, U mean I must adjust the size ratio to Instagram setting? With additional apps n stuff????

    • @photoswithphones
      @photoswithphones  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dicephalous9076of course bro! You'll need to take the photos horizontally and then you can crop in to fit for IG otherwise you aren't taking advantage of all the space IG gives you if that makes sense. The anamorphic videos and photos should look like Hollywood movies and IG is mostly vertical photos cropped to 4x3.

    Hi. Can i use the 15mm v2 fisheye on iphone se2??

    • @photoswithphones
      @photoswithphones  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Broom - you should be able to. According to Moment's website, the 15mm Fisheye uses the M-Seriss bayonet mounting system so as long as you have a Moment Case, Moment Lens Mount, or the BeastCage you should be good to go. Hope this helps!

      My biggest decision is do I buy Moment lenses for my Pixel or use just Pixel lens and save the money I'd spend on the Moment lenses and buy a pocket compact camer to use it along side the Pixel. Looking forward to your videos.

    • @photoswithphones
      @photoswithphones  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Personally I'd choose the Moment lenses. A combination of the native Pixel lens and two or three Moment lenses blows a comparable pocket camera out of the water in my opinion. I'd go with fisheye/wide, tele, and macro!
