Myself being from similar background, I can say half of his statements are incomplete and misleading. He didn’t mention tax free double pension he is getting from Govt right now. Secondly, no hospital gives drop after discharge and why he had ₹15 in his pocket at that time, wasn’t he getting full salary. He didn’t mention 2 months of paid leave he got. Promotion is very clearly defined in Armed Forces, if you’re fit you get promotion or else not. He opted to be a MARCO, so that means he was ready to take all the risk associated with it. So when he ended up in this unfortunate medical condition then why he has to crib about it, he opted to be a MARCO so the risks were known. His statements are only one side of story, he should have also told that what duties he was doing after coming back to unit and what was his routine. It’s easy to blame and tell half stories, one should look at self and see what he/ she is doing. The medals and badges he is wearing are not allowed, they can be worn on only on special occasions only after retirement and certainly not on a podcast. 10 more things can be brought out from his statement, also this is just a portion of podcast. I am sure entire podcast will bring more things.
Really ? I mean if you get injured on combat you get double pension ? I also really find it slightly hard to believe what happened after his encounter, specially the Hospital discharge part
The gap of officer and sailor is wide of colonial times,he is not 100% false, we have to come out of this, the life style has to be almost sa.e uf not similar, but in india it's difficult, salute to this this person,rather than fighting faults in his statements let's fill the loopholes.disgusting,

The amount depends on level of injury and it’s totally tax free. Secondly he is getting normal pension which has become tax free since he is recipient of Shaurya Chakra gallantry award. There are many other privileges for gallantry award winners. Sadly he did not mention any of that. Putting Armed Forces in bad light is worse thing which any soldier can do. There are gaps in every organisation, nothing is perfect. Armed Forces are bounded by strict rules & regulations, everything goes by books. You can’t expect same liberty as in civil world.

India is not creating its own rules, I agree some practices can be abolished but not everything. My only issue with his statements is that he had told many things which are misleading, for example discharge from hospital. He was getting salary all this while, couldn’t he afford a Taxi back to home. Moreover military hospitals discharges anyone only and only when they feel he/ she is fully fit to leave. Navy sees such combats very rarely, he expected special treatment since he took bullet. Ask any Army person, what special treatment they get when one gets injured in Combat !! If every injured starts getting special treatment then Military will become something else. There is very clear reward system in Military which is medals, monetary benefit & recognition. That’s the max which can be done, nothing more.
Before giving Gyan ...do you have a first hand experience in what he went through ....double pension ? Read the basic of pension first ... whatever he is telling is 100% the truth it's the sad reality of armed forces..
