@@LaurenBSparkles Sadly, that's true. I wonder if he kept in contact with her. If I were her, I would've assumed he forgot or wouldn't do it because of the breakup, so it's refreshing seeing that's not the case

Omg this looks incredible on her. The color suits her complexion and dark hair so well. The fit looks great and I love the draped sleeves. The skirt literally looks magical and that appliqué was the perfect look. Great work.

Can I just say, that one reason I LOVE Gunnar is that he seems to be genuinely a phenomenal person. It goes without saying he's extremely talented and creative, I personally love his work, but when he said he said he's a person who always keeps his word, I believe him 100%. That's rare these days and I always appreciate that in people. 💜💙💚💛🧡❤

All the volunteers for disasters, like my mom, are kind. I've loaned money, received money when needed, stayed places when I needed, but a lot have hurt me too. But I don't discount the good. 👍 If that helps.

Even when love fades, it's good to honor the love that was. Of course, just keeping promises is good in itself, but to show your ex you are a big enough person to let the bad feelings go and be a part of their life in this way is really beautiful.

I love that you honored your promise to an innocent third party to make her prom dress despite how much has changed for you. You have grown in fame since then, and lost some of your connection to the high schooler. That shows integrity, character, and the fact that you did such a great job shows you didn't just give the promise lip service, you actually did ALL of what you promised. Kind of restored my faith in humanity. Such joy.

It's lovely. I know a prom dress is maybe not as glamorous as a gown for an art piece or an ad for a big company, but I'd love to see you make more of them. The little girl in me that had to choose a drab bridesmaid cast off from David's Bridal because there was nothing pretty in my size is so pleased to see it.
I love how beautiful people look when they are wearing something that makes them feel confident. The smile is the most breathtaking accessory someone can possibly wear. And this young woman is wearing her's beautifully

I love how you tried out the skirt of the dress your self, not all designers do that and because of that not all there skirts turn out right so I'm glad you did that it makes it easier to see how flowy it is and how much puff it has and how much of the under side will show whith the twirls. And help get a feel for how it will turn out.

I needed to see this.
I lost any chance to talk to my niece when I broke up with my ex. Walking away from that little girl broke my heart. I have no idea if she remembers me or what her toxic family said about me.
Having been that kid growing up, losing people in my life because they broke up with my "real" family members, it always felt shit.
It's really healing seeing someone stick by "that kid" instead and be able to do so. ❤️
I work with kids, played with the niece of my ex often and when my ex dumped me (and I refused to take him back) that niece was 8 years old.
I managed to contact her dad and ask for their adress, to send one last greeting. He agreed and gave that to me,
I handpainted myself and her, holding hands and waving at 'the viewer' of the card. Two butterflies were in the air, flying away from eachother.
I wrote on the card, something along the lines of:
Hello Nina,
I think by now, you heard that S. and I broke up. That's sad, but it's not good to stay together when you no longer feel happy together. I will miss you a lot, and hope that you have fun in the future with your plans to join the circus, become a ballerina (etc.)
Greetings and best wishes!
Emma."
A few weeks later, I got a very bubble-y envelope, with a card that was E-shaped and covered in stickers and diamonds. It said; 'I'm very sad that I won't be seeing you again Emma and I will miss you. Lots of love Nina." She'd made that herself. I kept it, ofcourse.
I hope that you can meet that girl again, in the future and that you can tell her how important she was to you and that you missed her.
