Dad is keeping it together pretty well. RIP
Whats the other option?
Are you dense? You just agreed with the comment, without even knowing it!@@dhekwucieoejduf
3:39 "Sam's right with Jesus." What a beautiful expression of confidence in his son living his faith from an obviously loving father.
I’m a retired AA FA. I’m so sorry for your devastating loss. My deepest condolence to you and your family, and his fiancé. I pray for your strength.
🙏 for the families. It took a lot of courage for the father to do this interview.
Having lost my young son in terrible circumstances, I feel this man’s pain😢. God bless you and your family❤
God bless you too. Hugs.
He look like a good guy ,SORRY for your loss .
This young man had no idea that night would be his last day on earth. None of these people did. It’s my opinion that military helicopters have no business anywhere near commercial airports.
What an absolute nightmare and tragedy for all the young lives lost.
There are many helicopter stations located around Washington DC. They protect the nations capitol.
I understand the concern but that would be pretty much impossible for DC to operate without military helicopter traffic.
Makes no sense whatsoever
Its probably more important for some people that the female helicopterpilot is an lesbian and have escorted Ralph Lauren in the White House rather then she have enough flight hours... Bizarre!!
Sweden for TRUMP!!💪🇸🇪🇺🇸🇸🇪🇺🇸🇸🇪
Probably the best way to go. God speed. RIP.
So saddened for the loss of your son to you and your family. Thank you sir. It was good to learn about you and your son. God bless you.
Heartbreaking, I’m so sorry for your loss. For everyone’s loss. I don’t know how you were able to hold it together for this interview. Your strength speaks volumes and I’m sure your son followed in your footsteps. God bless you, your family and everyone affected by this tragedy. Praying for everyone involved. 🙏
When I heard the recording of the last communication from the pilot of the airplane, I thought, "He sounds so young." I don't know if that was your son's voice or not. But, I think so. I've flown on AA/PSA and always like to see the faces of my pilots. Thank you for sharing Sam's life with us. Mr. Lilley, I am rejoicing that your son knew Jesus Christ and He will live forever in Heaven with the Lord. Praying that the peace of God that passes all understanding will keep you, your family, his fiancee and heal you. My deepest heartfelt condolences to all those involved in this horrific tragedy.
It was his son that you heard
🙏🙏
That is my nephew Sam’s voice. Sweet kid.
@ so sorry for your loss
Mr. Lilly touched my heart like no other. Beautiful Father lost his likeness in his beloved son. He deserves truth and hopes we never see this accident happen again.
God Bless this family in processing such a horrific loss🙏🏾 you are all in our prayers❤ May your son rest in peace in the arms of God.
Im impressed with this father. What a strong man of God. I am glad Sam was a believer in Jesus Christ as he's with him now.
To say life is unfair is a gross understatement. You can be doing everything right yet suddenly lose everything. 💔
Poor Father. So heartbreaking. Class compassionate interview by Chris.
Heart breaking.... My condolences to this brave man and all the families of the victims.
I can not believe this father is able to tell his story like that..... wow...
Chris I appreciate your genuine and emotional response.. And you are right.. I wish more people would handle it like you do.. For the victims and not FOR the sensation or clicks or views.
Nice compassionate interview Chris. May God be with the hurting families and the lost souls.
Was thinking the same thing. Classy by Chris.
"Sam is Right with Jesus"
Made me tear up and know that the family will have comfort in this
I am so very sorry for the loss of your son.
Man, I had tears when I listened this veteran father described his son and how he has raised money for good causes as a teenager. I hope the father and the rest of the family stay strong and cherish his good memories. We are proud of them for raising a great son ❤
My thoughts and prayers are with this man's family .... 🙏🏼
For him to gather the courage to talk at this time is not easy, God grant you strength.
I couldn’t see how anything but a wonderful young man could come from this father. As a mother, I just can’t imagine. I have to mention the way this interview was conducted also… your compassion was felt through the screen, Chris. Man of integrity you are. God Bless
There are no words for your loss but know that there are so many of us who don’t know exactly what your individual pain feels like but they have deep pain from similar situations, too. We suffer with you. I’m sorry for your loss of your beloved son.
Im so sorry for your loss Mr. Lilley 😢 and to all of those involved and affected by all recent aircraft incidents ❤ May God bless you

I lost my nephew in this plane crash 33 yrs old. They still haven’t recovered him. 😩😢 his brother and his parents WILL NEVER GET OVER THIS.
So sad I hope the family’s get the respect and privacy they so much deserve and need at this time. That was a beautiful interview a compassion that you showed even offering your phone number. That was something my prayers go out to the families and friends. They are gone, but not forgotten.
Thank You for the respectful and compassionate interview!!! Having a "heart" is everything!

So sorry dad!!
I'm so sorry for your loss sir. Your son seemed to be a great human being, and you must have felt so proud that he followed in your footsteps. God speed, and God bless.😔
To find your passion at that age, and to own it, makes this more sad. This was a horrible accident. God Bless them all
Good on ya Chris, thanks for getting this father’s story out there. THIS is reporting.
My heart just breaks 💔 so much suffering and pain in this world! I hold you all close to my heart I’m so very sorry for your loss
I still can't past the fact that the student black hawk pilot, with only 500 hours, was allowed to fly around a busy commercial airport at night. This is INEXCUSABLE.
My sympathies to you and your family. We lost our 30 year old son recently. Our faith is what has sustained us. Prayers for your family.
Beautiful father raised beautiful young man❤️🙏🏻
Praying for the families of victims. Love from Singapore.
I'm incredibly sorry for your loss. I know the pain of loosing a child it’s devastating. Please know we are praying for you all with love and hugs!
It sickens me to think that the pilots of the CRJ did nothing wrong... such a damn shame...
Me too...
Amen! I love this father and how he has peace knowing his son is with Jesus! You know the pilot was raised right and it’s sad his life was cut short. Prayers for this family and every family involved!

Regan airport has experienced some near misses in the past.
Near misses are warnings that must be heeded and corrected.

Damn Sam, you probably wont see this, but know your loved by so many, your son was happy because of you...
Sam Lilley was the son who died, and the dad's name is Tim Lilley.
My condolences for you and your family Mr. Lilley. I hope God support your pain.
May God bless Tim Lilley & his family through this devastating loss, and be a source of comfort at this time.
Sending hugs to hes good Dad, ❤I’m very sorry for your beautiful young man loss he is in heaven with God now 😢
I never did like Chris C. on CNN but this was an excellent interview, filled with respect and compassion... GJ Chris!
My sincere condolences to you and your family.
I simply wouldn't be able to conduct an interview like this if I'd just lost my son...I know people deal with grief in different ways...but I couldn't do this..
Why would you comment on this then? My dear brother is a warrior. He is still reeling and forever will be. Tim wants to help and bring awareness as much as possible. We as the Lilley family find comfort in sharing our beautiful Sam.
@@kerrynutt7605 because I have just as much right to comment as the next person. If you are related to this man, then no one is doubting the loss the family must feel or his courage...so please...don't jump to conclusions...there's enough people out there doing that...
@ Sam, he is my nephew and that is my brother Tim Lilley. I hope you never have to go through what we are and if you do, I pray that people are kind to you and yours.
We are so deeply sorry for what your family is going through at this time. Sam looks to be and sounds to be an absolutely lovey and wonderful human. He did everything right In that plane. Please except our heartfelt condolences and know we are thinking of you and we care!!
Sounds like the type of guy that you'd want to fly with. The aviation community is a relatively small one so I hope dad reaches out to us to help him through it. Sad week for all involved.
Praying for your family and all that were lost during this horrible crash RIP
Kindness goes a long way 🙏 🌼
My deepest condolences 💐 goes out to Sam, his father and the rest of his beloved ❤family. 🙏
May all of them R.I.P. my most sincere condolences to all their beloved families.
This father is hold it together way to good id be so chocked up take me a hour to get a word out
He's probably completely disassociated from it, too much for the brain to handle...poor fella
It brings a lot of comfort to know exactly where his son is….with Jesus.
Composure and as a pilot you have to maintain emotions. I’m sure once he disconnects from us he’ll release on his own time. Dad’s heart will be heavy for quite some time 🙏🙏🙏🙏.
Dad is right - time time time and even that may not be enough
So sorry for your loss Sir . Heartfelt condolences to you and the family from the UK . Like you , im sure this fine young man you raised now safe with Our Lord . Praying for you and that this agony eases soon . 🙏 ❤

RIP Sam 🙏
Condolences to all 😭 🤲 It is extremely heartbreaking for the dad 😭 I wish all families and beloved ones will find peace and healing
I really hated / despised the CNN Chris Cuomo...... I am slowly becoming a big fan of Chris Cuomo 2.0. Not only this interview, which was done very well and respectfully, but also the Charlie Kirk, and Tucker Carlson video interactions with Chris I have also seen. I'm fairly certain I will never feel the same way about Lemon or Acosta tho.... 😆
Yeap has the feeling of actual journalism and move toward reason
I feel the same way. Mr. Cuomo's interview with the co-pilot's Dad was outstanding. He said to Dad that if anyone gives him a hard time, bothers them, or gives false testimony---call me and I will do what I can. Never saw the other side of him until this spring/summer/fall of 2024. Gaining respect for Chris.
@@bcarrbillZebras don’t change their stripes! Keep that in mind.
This was a compassionate interview. Very human.
Very touching 🙏😇
heartbreaking, same age as my son
Same as my daughter, 28 years old. My heart is breaking for you. ❤
