I don’t care about the anodizing because I bead blasted and cerakoted Them they’re cut from aluminum block just like the real one I’ve already gave unity Around 350 for two and I got two of these for less than 50 running aim point on the real ones holosun on the fakes I’ve had zero issues of course I’m running the real steel back plate and screws they’re really good for what they are I hate they’re from China but What are you gonna do the price point on the real one needs to come down drastically Originally bought them for airsoft rifles and the quality of what it is it is tough as nails. great video bro

      @@vaughnsadekni665 From your point of view. But you have no idea what the expenses are to run UNITY. Paying the engineers, the machinists, all the people that don't actually have anything to do with making the product (customer service, sales, janitors, etc), prototyping, employee insurance, 401k contribution, property insurance, liability & casualty insurance, unemployment insurance, rent/mortgage on the building(s), electricity to run everything, payments on equipment, and then... TAXES. MASSIVE taxes that must be paid. It isn't one guy in his garage pocketing $300 for a piece of aluminum. But when you buy it from a Chinese company they just skip most of that. I'm not saying you can't buy it from China for cheaper. Do what you want. But you have no standing to say they are overpriced if you don't know the expense that goes into it. Just my opinion.

      @@missionspec I'm aware of many companies that do similar stuff to unity and there are companies out there that have been doing what unity is doing for longer, a tall optic mount with an integrated iron sight with too short of a sight radius to be functional isn't super innovative. To be frank Unity's prices have gone way up mainly due to sometimes unwarranted hype, the amount of people that buy unity mounts because its a unity mount is pretty high. I see them at public ranges all the time with shooters who would've been better served by buying more ammo to train with than buying a $205 mount. Unity these days is pretty comparable to arc'tyrex combat clothes which really is just the crye g-3's but over-engineered, there is nothing really special about them except the hype-beast dinosaur logo, the multicam is still cut from the same NIR multicam fabric as a $30 5.11 hat. In a couple years some social media "influencer" will flash his pieace with a brand new "innovative" optic solution and unity prices will most likely fall as they are forgotten... just my perspective

    • @missionspec
      @missionspec  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@BenCody630 I'm not really sure of your point. What you are describing is simply the market as it relates to marketing. You can choose to participate or don't regarding a specific product. I think it is important to remember that in a free market society all transactions are voluntary and they only happen when both sides feel they are getting value. The buy thinks the object is worth paying their money for. The seller thinks that the money he is getting is worth his time and effort that he put into it. If both parties didn't feel that way then the transaction wouldn't happen. This goes for all purchases you are not compelled (forced) to make.

    Well I purchased 2 one green one tan, the green is WAY nicer then the tan in every way. Smooth edges, a couple centimeters shorter. Biggest difference is a raised sqaure shape in the middle of the riser. That keeps my romeo5 from securing flush. I suspect romeo5 are supposed to have a cut out to fit that short sqaure shape. If my green is fake as well its miles better then my tan version.

      You do realize that genuine Unity products are CNC machined from 7075 T6 billet aluminum, which has something to the effect of a 60% increase in tensile strength over 6061 aluminum, which I believe is what the actual licensed airsoft replicas (PTS) are made from. These ones you see all over ebay for $20 are probably made of either some shitty zinc alloy (aka pot metal) or melted down aluminum cans that are then cast molded and finish machined by some kid in a Chinese sweat shop. If that’s the kind of “quality” you want to trust your life to, then have at it hoss… Just know that the way in which the logo is applied to the product is FAR from the only difference between the two, and that every time you buy a cheap, fake, unlicensed Chinese version of a genuine USA made product you are directly supporting the evil AF Chinese communist party who by allowing the manufacture and sale of these counterfeit goods they are literally stealing from the American company who owns that IP.

    money into research? what do you think unity has done in terms of research? figure out where to cut?(aesthetics mostly?). it is not fake if they are paying loyalty. also, the design itself is probably not patented. that is worth 120$ more per unit? anyways.. the question is.. does it hold zero? what material is made of? 6061 is cheap.. so i would imagine it is 6061, which is perfectly fine for a mount. i noticed some on amazon without the branding. i use ADM, MI, UTG, AERO mounts on my guns.. i see absolutely no difference between the cheap ones vs more expensive ones other than aesthetics. UTG mount is like 25 dollars, and it holds great with 3 lugs. only thing is that it is ugly.. but i have like 6 redots on them.

      Trading on someone else's name and good will is stealing. Unity developed (R&D) and marketed the item. Making it popular. If you then reproduce it without permission you are stealing.

      It literally has the patent number labeled on the side next to the logo in the video. Also, why don’t you think that these mounts require R&D? They are designed to be tough, light, and ergonomic. Something that can take a beating and still hold zero to save your life. Your comment does not make any sense

    • @paullee9160
      @paullee9160 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@MasterChief773 you are fooling yourself if you think there is a lot that goes into R&D on these. all it requires is basic engineering, good material, and build quality. a brand new company can build something robust and good if they decide to compete in that field. research my ass. they are not building barrels or bolts.

    Other than the cosmetic what are the real differences? Also anodizing does not have any depth. Please use industry standardized method of measurement instead of passing you so called expert opinion. What is your professional background anyway? As the expert panel of one, what is your credentials?

      the biggest difference is the raised square that is located on the top of the mount in between the 4 mounting screw holes and the cheap screws that hold it to the rail

      Some tolerances are odd like the ironsights (I’d recommend removing them off the clone since they’re not going to hold zero) and you may or may not have difficulties with the micro interface depending on the optic you’re using

      SIG optics are designed in Oregon and built in China by the same OEM that builds for Holosun and probably a few others. This shouldn't be a knock to get good budget friendly products in the hands of people. And they're all over Ukraine right now.
