Can't thank Blayne enough for teaching me about Hooded Menace. Darkness Drips Forth has become my favorite album, but Ossuarium Silhouettes Unhallowed was a great introduction
Kudos for a solid review. It's refreshing to see Blayne focusing on substance instead of gratuitous non-stop wise-cracking, funny as it may be. Perhaps all the humor in the tag-team review, and the sketch in the beginning of this one, allowed the funniness to get expressed freeing up the bulk of the review of HM to focus on the music itself. Both aspects - good stuff!

These week was a little to full unfortunately. It is an AWESOME albums though. Really really dig it.
This is honestly my favorite review of what has become one of my favorite albums. Blayne is awesome and he has converted me to the ways of Hooded Menace worship.
There's like a grandiosity to it that hasn't been in previous efforts, but it only puts a gloss on the fetid stench of their delicious deathy doom. This album sounds incredible, I neeeeeed it

Also, that bass tone, the guitar tone is awesome, but they don't turn down anything (I hate when modern bands bury the bass in the mix). This has to be one the best albums I've heard in a long time, it's just so fucking awesome!

Hell yes this album is fucking phenomenal.... If it wasn't for Blayne I would never have given Hooded Menace a second look, but now theyre one of my favorite death/doom bands.

You were so right about their guitar tone! As a tone geek I concur wholeheartedly. It is to Death/Doom what Carcass's "Heartwork" tone was to Melodic Death Metal, imho.

Got the CD, Tape, Vinyl, Shirt and Patch of this album. I too first heard of them from this album. Needless to say I also enjoyed it a little! Great review dude! Also Harri has another Doom Metal band called Horse Latitudes, 2 bass no guitars, worth checking out, very unique!

What I love about death doom like this, is that it sounds like say...Bloodbath smoked a lot of pot and forgot how to play fast. I mean that in the best way possible.

reviewed this album a while back myself... agreed with almost everything... gave it 7/10 because it was a little short and the last song and celtic frost cover, while a nice little extra , were kinda bland (as some parts of the songs themselves too). I wished more for another song instead (the album is pretty short for Death/Doom, clocking in at around 40 minutes without the bonus). anyway, keep up the nice reviews, enjoy yours and Sarah's way more than Sams.
