Thank you for your podcast and your work with the bluebirds! I hope the people in the west will be rescued from the fires and that the fires has been stopped until now.
Thanks for sharing so much with us! I LOVE your design talks - the whys are incredibly intriguing to me! You never lose me there I promise! I can’t wait to see what becomes of the wool. In the bread baking classes I teach, I talk about the why - the real why we are all standing there in that kitchen together to try to learn to make something we could all just buy. And I share that in my humble opinion- there’s an attachment to from scratch and homemade and handmade that is truly in us in a cellular level. It will always appeal because it’s a part of our human story 250 million years long. We can never deny it. It’s in our DNA. I’ll never have a farm but the draw, the appeal, I can feel it in my heart. Interesting right? Anyway can’t wait to see! Prayers daily for fires to be gone and healing to begin. ❤
Always so nice to spend some time with you, Anna. Thank you for taking the time to record. As always so full of inspiration. Been following your updates on instagram about the fires. Praying for rain and that the fires will be stopped! Whising you and your family blessed days.
Loved this catch-up Anna. I find your podcast so calming, inspiring, and real. I love the birding look, and I'm not being sarcastic! Our old hoodies are so well-worked in and reliable! I'd never heard of an afterthought buttonhole. Love the new design(s). Hope some rain comes soon and the fires stop and crops grow. Will be clicking on the links... great Gathering Threads acquisitions!
Hi, this is Rita from Trondheim Norway. We have got all your rain here. It has been raining for 2-3 weeks here. Nice to watch your podcast and thank you for inspiration ❤
My cousin had a self shedding, meat, sheep breed. They liked them as they didn’t need to spend time and money get them sheared each year. The birds loved the wool for their nests.
Great of you to find a moment to record and share with us--we know you are a busy woman! The tee texture is looking really interesting and I have been wanting to try that linen blend yarn. I want a white one but since I seem to spill on myself esp. when wearing white, I'm always wary to make one 😂. I was so fortunate this year to be gifted a year's subscription to Taproot. I already have plans with one son this summer (who is the other maker in the gamily) to make loads of things from the current issue; it is so inspiring. I am looking forward to the next issue (Blue) and seeing your pattern among all the amazing things--congrats on the publication. Thanks for the tip on the solid shampoo. I hope the fires are over with soon.
Hi Anna! Thanks for grabbing the time to podcast, don’t worry about your outfit or hair, we are just happy to see you & your projects! 🤗 The blue of the bluebird eggs! Enjoyed seeing them, and the tree swallow as well. Looks very like our barn swallows here. We have 2 pairs that nest in our barn, and 1 in our carport. In the barn this year a robin ( pretty sure it’s a robin, anyhow) took over one of their nest cups that had partially fallen & repaired it with mosses, etc and nested in it just before the swallows arrived. They seem to have tolerated it, and it has nestlings now that look pretty big. The swallows also have 2 man made nest cups in there which they always also use, so I guess they weren’t bothered by the new neighbour.
Hi Anna, I like that garter stitch neckline of the T-shirt. It looks so neat, it is so special. I am looking forward to the release of the Vintage Vibe Vest ; this is the right name. I like mine so much you know ! I hope to be able to get the magazine with your design. Tall ou birdboxes are occupied by coal tits. So much fun when the bird families make their first show out of the boxes. 🐥 like always enjoyed so much some time with you on the screen. Thanks for all the time and effort you put into this. Keep safe. 🦋
I was sorry to hear about the fires. Having grown up in California, I know how devastating they can be. Hopefully you will get rain soon. I enjoyed your podcast, as always, and I love the idea of a Kenosee tee! That was the first pattern I had seen of yours and is still one of my favorites. Im also looking forward to your simpler tee design that you were working on. Thanks for taking time to podcast!
Lovely to see you Anna. I am fascinated by work with the birds so thank you for a little glimpse of it. I am working on the Garti Carti and just maybe will finish it in time for sweater weather 😊
so sorry to hear about the fires in you area. It's so sad to see the and and it's bounty devastated. All the rest in the podcast was lots of fun, though! Looking forward to seeing the yarn from your sheeop fleece!!!xx
Sweet Georgia the Take Back Friday videos has started down the knitting machine trail. See if Felicia can show you at least enough to give you courage to open it or join the guild.
So nice to see you again, always a joy. We have two bluebird boxes in our yard in Northern CA , one has 3 eggs but we don’t see their mama around much, hopefully they aren’t abandoned. My granddaughter Lily is 17 and loves to identify birds on our hikes and camping trips. She sends data to the Audubon Society often. I’ll share your podcast with her. Praying for your safety during fire season, we know how scary it can be, we are not far from Paradise CA where we lost 89 people a few years ago. Stay safe.
Nest time that's funny. I love birds, they remind me of a verse in the Bible. ..even the birds of the air they do not sow or reap and yet your heavenly Father feeds them...

Love the catch-up. You take about you being scared of the knitting machine, well your pattern with lace is intermedating to me.

I can't wait until your tee shirt pattern comes out. Would you consider making a v neck version as well? Always enjoy your podcasts!
I love your daughter’s white cardigan! Those sleeves are gorgeous.
Is there a pattern for this cardigan as I would love to make one for myself!?

I would like to get your newsletter, but I don’t see how to do that.
Hi Dori, sorry for my very slow response! You can do so through my website. It is linked in the video description.
