Hello, I want to get this an have them mounted on my fence, but I run the risk of having them stolen. So I'm thinking of buying some security screws like the torx or snake eyes. What size screws does this unit come with? Appreciate any feedback.
These are only 2 1/2 feet from the ground so that they don't activate easily. the motion sensor aims down. If you mount them at head height they react at 9-16 feet or so.
They are not good at all. I purchased 8 on eBay, exactly the same one. They get full sun all daily plus I created a transparent plastic cover to protect them from rain. For unknown reasons, all 8 have broke in about one month from each other but within 3 months from purchase. The mode 1 does not work anymore. Basically when the sensor detects motion should trigger the light to turn on and this used to work just fine but now the lights turn on for half second and turn off. The other modes work in terms of keeping the light on... No idea why...
Weird, mine are all out on the fence and working just fine today, in -4 degree weather and all Summer, rain, blizzards, ice storms, etc. No idea why you'd cover them with anything, they are designed to be outside in full sun. Good luck!
@@hpiguy Hi, it is just a plastic bottle cut cover that simply prevents from rain to wet the entire device but letting full sun recharging the light. I could send you a picture. I know it is weird, all 8 have broken within 3 months from purchase and when I say broken, it is just the light not staying on while motion is detected. They should stay on for about 10 seconds and they used to, now they turn off after half second once detecting motion. They are useless basically if not using them manually in mode 2 or 3.
@@Chief81 i used to cover them with a clear plastic that I cut from a bottle. I then removed them and nothing has changed. The protection did not stop the rays to charge the battery. I still have new leds that are working now and they all have this protection I created so it is not because of the clear plastic, the problem must be the mechanism that charges the battery, the solar panel and or the battery itself.

I have the same light they don’t wanna turn on only if I I hit the button I comes on and turn right back off

You'd have to ask the manufacturer, I don't have any idea.

Just bought 4 for the shed
You need to silicone these too make them properly waterproof, if you don't they really don't last long
They've been on that fence since this video years ago, as is, and working perfectly. Zero sealing needed.

@@hpiguy I have just realised these one are branded IC ICLOVER while the one purchased on ebay have not brand but they are exactly the same.
