As for Baby, It's Cold, from what I saw on an analysis of it, for the time it was written, it wasn't creepy. The way it is coded is that the woman wants to stay, but knows she can't do so without being branded a floozy, so she has to make these excuses. The man is providing the arguments that people won't notice because of the weather. Btw, calling out and not promoting ignoring bad parts of society doesn't mean we don't have a sense of humor anymore, it means we have a sense if decency now.
