War Doctor was the rawest and truest version of the Doctor. The Doctor more than his other incarnations. He doesnt hide his pain and weariness, just because hes given up hope. He wants the insanity to end, even if its so much against his promise.
The warrior, hero, doctor and most of all the old man who saved the universe who put their life on line to save the universe from destruction. He was being kind
Glad to see the old fandom still lives on in these amv's. No doubt sparked back to life with the new series on its way. Doctor Who has been coasting off of the success pre-chibnal and it shows. Not 1 single scene in series 11-now are memorable or impactful enough for a fan to want to put it in an AMV.
It's very rare that a modern Doctor Who fan video does not have anything from the Chibnall era in it; I have to say that this is the most refreshing breath of nostalgia untainted by what happened and still asking the question what if. Thank you, RGS, for this. Been a long time since I've gotten goosebumps seeing a new Doctor Who fan video posted and it's safe to say this one was worth it.
Margarita (pls excuse the advertisement RGS) has a lot of older stuff as well. Not all of them, but from 92 videos a majority. th-cam.com/video/XxlZZWM95HI/w-d-xo.html
@@TeaquestSagas Oh yes, Margarita Life is another go to of mine (the videos without 13, that is). Same goes for TheGaroStudios. It's just refreshing to see a new video not celebrating or participating in the Chibnall nonsense.
That's the problem with chibnall's era, despite how many times they kept repeating it, whittaker's doctor wasn't kind, not really. Good perhaps but not kind. But them, they are the embodiment of kindness, not because of the absence of pain but because of pain, and that's beautiful! So beautiful it hurts!
@@realitygenrestudios I believe that Jodie could have been a good Doctor, maybe even a great one. But Chibnall's writing was always middle of the road at the best of times. So, Jodie's potential as a Doctor was already on shakey ground with him as showrunner. Then, to top it off, Chibnall's writing during his tenure betrayed the Doctor as a character on a fundamental level, betrayed the history of the show, and betrayed whatever growth may have been achieved post-Day of the Doctor. I'll never blame Jodie for her tenure. As far as I know, she was making the best out a bad situation. But, I sincerely hope that Chibnall never writes another Doctor Who script ever again. And I hope that Jodie gets the chance to portray 13 again over at Big Finish. Give us the opportunity to see +(Or, perhaps... "hear" would be a better word)+ what could have been had 13 been in better hands. Also, just remembered that 13 is an unlucky number. Well... Jodie certainly did have terrible luck getting Chibnall as her Series showrunner.
@@815superwolf If you don't know U.S. politics I wouldn't be surprised if the character went unnoticed or has fallen from memory. In the first episode of 13's debut, the one with the big spiders, a temporary character is introduced for the episode. I can't recall the characters name, but he's a white, American businessman who states he'll be running for president in the future. When the spiders are introduced, and everyone is trying to come up with a solution for getting rid of them; he quite simply adds on to the conversation that they should just shoot the damn things. (BTW, several people died to the spiders.) His suggestion clearly sets pretty much everyone off, which isn't surprising considering the Doctor and their whole existence prior this. In the end, it's revealed the businessman had been dumping toxic waste, which made the spiders grow. (Really a revolutionary first episode. No show or movie used radiation like that before.) So he's labeled bad guy and to blame for everything that has happened. It was also released at what I would say was the height of modern inner conflict within the U.S.. Most particularly on the topic of the presidency. Which is where the caricature of Trump in the episode comes from. I'm not a fan of Trump, but shoehorning a political statement into the FIRST episode is not a good sign. Conpare it to the ninth Doctor's arrival, you get to learn about him through Rose's perspective. And tens start? Rose trying to adjust to the idea of a new Doctor. Eleven? A banger of a first episode. Twelve was kind of a rehash of the idea that his companion had to get used to a new doctor, not the best. Now compare any of those starts, to thirteen. It was horrid. I'm not saying the show can't make political statements, it has, and will continue too. But a caricature of a political opponent? On the first episode? That's just a sign of things going bad in the writers room. It lacked any creativity off the bat.
It's rare to see a doctor who fanvid that isn't just about one version of the doctor that doesn't have 13 in it, i then not to watch post 13 fanvids as they then to have clips from 13's run in them which iv only seen the first half of her first season before dropping the show so i'm glad this only uses clips from before 13 as iv actually seen them and have context for the clips being used. I'm sure most people who don't like seeing 13 in videos like this either don't like seeing them because they don't like 13 or don't like 13's run but for me its mainly just because i lack the context of the clips.
The top comment about this video being untainted by the chibnall crap made me watch it above anything else. Thank you… thank you for respecting the 55 years of history, respecting true to heart writing

The Doctor's speech about doing the right thing to The Master was an instant classic.
"I do what I do because it's kind! Just kind."
I'm so excited for the next season of DW, esp with Russell coming back as the writer. This is absolutely beautiful, well done ❤️

Yep, completely agree with you 👍🏻
That was incredible! It brought back all the memories I have of the things that made me love the Doctor. Oh how I've missed this Doctor. Well done!
congratulations, you made me cry
I loved this
I love these type of edits of the emotional moments or the funny moments. The heart in the show

Funny, that's a flaw to me.
This is fantastic! Something new to go on loop!!
I remember that show.
A very moving edit! You really succeeded in bridging parallels to different scenes with different doctors. Very good stuff!

Incredible. Despite rewatching this series so many times i didnt catch some of the references til this fantastic video.
a new banger has emerged. the ultimate one.
They can't let this end. I'm been a fan since 1975!
Legends. Thank you, tenth doctor.
The Doctor is the greatest superhero because he isn't super. He just does what he does and he does it well.
Fantastic
looping it for hours
Beautiful video! ❤️
One more heart
nice i love it
FANTASTIQUE
This... is where men cry.
Nice
as someone who loves all doctors, can i genuinely ask why you don't include thirteen's era at all?
I do not enjoy thirteens era. Or chibnals writing. Later on my opinion might change. But right now that’s how I feel.

Got a foul taste in my mouth when chibnals first episode with Jodie included a personification of Trump

Don't blame her. Her doctor had a good persona. It's just bad stories
