Saw them in 2001 and last year. They are pretty good. Have always enjoyed their music. All of this ‘best’ business gives me the shudders. In a lot of ways, they are a more pedestrian kings of convenience. I hate ‘the best’ because it discounts bands like this. The Somerset Maugham of literature. Just fine and good enough
Totally agree. One of my all time favourites - actually supported them in 2000 with a band i played keys with. Gale made friends with me and even put me on the guest list at one of their gigs - got invited back stage and jammed Green Onions with me on piano & Gale on harmonica (They were supporting The Stereophonics) The bass player was sat on the floor against the wall
This is an excellent version and I really hope the band will consider releasing it to streaming services. I'd love to get it on some playlists alongside my other Turin Brakes favourites.
This is amazing. I've been introducing my 10 year old daughter to the best band in the universe! She wants to know if you'll be playing this at the Southend gig in October? Her first gig with me! Row 7!!! Can't bloody wait 🙂💝
my soon to be ex wife said this tune makes her think of me... i have always loved this band and ill always love her too... kate bush same... basically i am glad in a lot of confusing ways that i heard this. cant get my head around why they're not more appreciated
These guys and starsailor were my constant companions for the early 2000s
Simply the best acoustic band in the world, should be mega stars by now
Some people don’t want that
They are, in my eyes and ears.
