Damn, no mention of the Slinger burst into TCS move from World? i loved that so much, it's such a great expression of skill with GS. Figuring out a slinger burst TCS opening on FuJang and Fatalis will never not be satisfying. Much more satisfying than getting a Strong Arm Stance + TCS opening from Rise Sunbreak
I’m realizing now I called it “flinch shot” in the video instead of the slinger burst 🤦🏻♂️ I’m pinning this! Slinger burst deserves better lmao But yeah absolutely the burst was an amazing tool for GS in World. The “turnaround” aspect of it is what’s still going to be in Wilds through focus mode. And the expression of it like you said is something that’s going to be missed for sure. Hopefully the new tools in Wilds will make up for it 🙏🏼
They gave great sword and dual blades god tier makeovers. Can't wait to see more of the other weapons in action with all the new changes and additions.
im just excited to get back to playing swax. It was my first main in 4U then i got stuck in the comfort of bow in MHW.... but in wilds, im going back I SWEAR IT!
Now this is how you redesign a weapon! Adding mechanics to already existing moves to give them more use cases and increase the skill of the greatsword is awesome, as well as improving some frustrating parts without making it trivial (focus charge)
Have you seen the Uth Duna armor concept?!?, another panel showed a sword I’m not sure if it was longsword Or great sword either way it was magnificent. But the monsters and gear designs are what I’m most excited for. So far not a singular miss I hope they add cat walking gestures because I’m hosting fashion shows
@@99Livesx the Uth Duna concept designs are 10/10! Hard to not get excited about the idea that weapon designs are back to their usual glory in Wilds after the letdown of designs in World. Capcom is cooking rn
I have a feeling that the greatsword for the flagship monster Arkveld is going to be white in color with a purple glow similar to Alatreon or Gore Magala GS but with the added bonus of having chains in it's design
I know this is sort of off topic, but I think the Arkveld DBs are gonna be kinda like how Odogaron’s were; they’re gonna have the chained blades. I just see Arkveld’s wings and I’m just like “Oh I want THAT as DUAL BLADES!!!”
it’s the Frostcraft skill from the Velkhana set! First became a thing in Iceborne, and then brought in to Sunbreak. The meter builds as your weapon is sheathed, and then attacks will deplete it again. It gives you a boost to your attack - popular with GS, LS, any weapon that sheathes often :)
@@struckfluency I never got a notification for your reply I would’ve Forsure responded sooner. I apologize on that but thank you so much for this information. Never knew it was great for greatswords ! I just barely became a great sword user from being an insect glaive and Longsword main.
Honestly I really don’t like the changes done to the great sword 😭,Mainly being able to adjust the TCS a full 180 degrees like that, this might be what finally makes me quit GS and try a new weapon. To me what made me love the GS was the highs I get from landing a TCS and these highs only felt good because of how often I missed my attack.
Well in comparison to what other weapons are getting like longsword being able to cancel helmbreaker i dont think its that bad. Coming from a great sword user.
@@Gogiramaster562, honestly, you're not wrong. Hopefully, when the demo comes out, I'll try all the weapons and see if the GS will finally be dethroned for me. If not, it is what it is. I'll just gaslight myself into thinking the changes were not that bad.
@@milkymen Being able to cancel/reposition moves like that speaks more than it seems. It probably means the monsters will be far more mobile and the terrain far more erratic. I just hope it's not as exaggerated as Sunbreak's insanity
Pod shots allowed you to do instant u-turns before TCS, hysteria was a playstyles by itself and you learned gs with it, you can't play GS genuinely, I don't see how focus TCS is broken or anything
100% it won’t be the same. On the other hand though I think the playstyle for GS in Wilds is going to adapt just like it did in World with slinger burst, and strongarm in Rise. Between the offset, buff to tackle, perfect guard and guard clashes, and focus mode allowing movement while charging for all charged slashes, I think there’s enough to make the Wilds GS have room for expression through different playstyles

Lol GS is tough to pick up at first! But when it clicks, woooo boy it’s good
I kid you not i popped off harder seeing the hunter turn in focus mode than the guard clash at the end

Actually kind of sad that the move wont launch players anymore. That was the only reason to use it.

5:42 what is that great sword meter on the upper left bottom right of the swords sharpness?!? I have never seen that. If anyone knows…
