Well it’s my first lightsaber so I don’t have anything to compare it to, but it is amazing. When the room is dark it looks like a real lightsaber. And it’s even fairly decent in a well lit room. And the smooth-swing is amazing too

Hi! Thanks for the comment. The hilt is made out of metal. And the thin neck is made out of brass. So the hilt is very strong and I have no complaints with it. The mid grade blade definitely shouldn’t be used to duel with. It’s a thin blade and hitting it hard against anything could damage the blade and/or the lights inside. I try not to hit my blade on anything because I’m afraid I’ll break it. I just swing it around. So if you do plan on dueling, get a heavy grade blade! But again I don’t suggest dueling with a neo saber blade because if you break it, you gotta spend $100 for a new one.
I ordered a aeryn and i think it was a very good decision. To one Problem is that it can take up to 16 weeks until i get it. That is going to be a hard time waiting

It was pretty easy. I emailed their customer support. Then they asked for a video of this issue. I sent them a video. And then they said they’d send me a new one for free. And I don’t have a display for it yet. I’m planning on hanging it on my wall in the future.
I think my saber only took 4 days to get to my house. I thought that was pretty fast since it was shipped from the opposite side of the world. But I guess that’s expected bc shipping costed me $45 lol
When changing the color or affect of one of the fonts on it when you showed at the end, does it save that or when you turn it off and back on again it’s back to the original
If you change anything to a certain font, and then you turn it off and on, it will keep the changes. But once you change to a different font or stop using the saber, it will remove any changes you did.
I got the mid grade blade. It’s definitely not for dueling. But there is a heavy grade blade that would be better for dueling. It’s thicker. Idk how well it does in dueling tho. I don’t think neopixel blades should be used for dueling because all the lights are inside the blade and they’re expensive
I’ve had mine for a few months now and have medium dueled with the kiddos and a bit more aggressive with a few buddies and no issues as of yet!! Can hold up with a martial arts wooden bokken from what I understand but I’m still working up slowly testing it lol! Have also whacked and dropped it a few times with no issues!! Only issue I’ve had was my fault! I maxed out the volume (suggested at 80% or less) for too long and blew the speaker! I replaced it with a Smugglers Outpost Elite 28mm and working awesomely!!!
Well first off I don’t think the company is taking orders right now. I think they said they’ll open back up around Black Friday. And from the day of ordering it, I got it a month later. I got a shipping notification on a Friday and it got to me by the following Tuesday. I was amazed by how fast it got to me bc they are located in Malaysia.

I think other sabers with the lights in the hilt look weird bc they aren’t as bright and don’t fill the blade evenly. Those type of lightsabers are made more for dueling. You shouldn’t duel with a neosaber though. So if you want to duel I wouldn’t get it. Although, this is my first saber so I don’t have anything to compare it to. I’m just going off of what I’ve seen on TH-cam.
Hello! Thanks for your video! I have a quick question ahah I would like to purchase a sabertrio lightsaber but I really don't know if I should take the medium or the heavy blade. I won't duel with it, but I'm afraid in case I drop the saber on the floor or against objects/walls. The price doesn't mind me but I heard from other youtubers that the heavy grade changes 2 things: - Since it's heavier, it is more difficult to do tricks with the saber - It's not as bright as the medium blade. So apparently for the last one it may be not that true. It stays really bright in either case so that's cool But I would like to have your opinion on this, should I go for the heavy or for the medium blade? Uhhh so I’ve never seen a heavy grade blade so I don’t know if a mid grade blade is brighter or not. If you think about it, it should be brighter bc the blade is thinner. That was my thought process in which one to pick. And I was in the same boat. I don’t plan on dueling with my saber. I just use it to swing around. The mid grade blade is perfect for that bc it’s not as heavy. The mid grade blade isn’t super thin to where it’ll break if you hit it on anything, it’s still a durable blade. So don’t be worried about that if you don’t plan on dueling with it.

I’m not expert on what sabertrio offers. But I know you need to get at least a FX saber for different colors. But if you want the saber to do custom effects like Kylo Ren, you’d have to buy a neo saber.
Cool video/cool saber but does it do vader? The blades are Delicate?? I want a Decent light saber I can run/work out with that has a better sound board and effects. They don’t make anything good for 150? How Delicate are these? And how much?
Thanks! Yes it has a Vader sound font. And I got the lightweight blade. It’s just a plastic tube with lights on the inside. So I’m gonna be very cautious with the blade bc they’re $100 each. They do have a heavy duty blade. But keep in mind the lights are in the blade, so you props shouldn’t be dueling with them. But all blades work well with swinging around!
I haven’t had an issue with the blade coming out but it does tend to make the click sound that it makes when you put the blade in, when you turn it on with the blade already on. I hope that makes sense. But yeah it’s not a big issue for me.
It’s not the color. It’s the brightness. I have no idea if the mid grade blade is brighter. I just assumed it will be brighter because it’s a thinner blade so the light can pass through the plastic better
Yeah in person all the colors look normal. I don’t know why my camera made them not all look how they are in person. The saber can do different shades of some colors. And it can make a bright dark red color which is cool
They originally only said they will take 500 orders. But then the website was crashing constantly so they opened their site for 24 hours with no limit of how many people can order. And after the 24 hours, they stopped taking orders. So if you’re looking to buy one, be ready on the day they open back up!
How thick is the hilt? Did it feel overbearing and hard to get your whole hand around? I know this is the problem with a lot of Disney sabers so I'm wondering if it's the same for this one.
Oh it’s definitely not as thick as Disney sabers. The saber I got has a diameter of about 1.5 inches. The size of it looks and feels like a legit saber they would use in a Star Wars episode.
There’s a lot of brands out there. Do your own research and whatever looks good buy that. There’s some pretty cool ones out there now that I think are better than mine.
They announce restock dates on Instagram and Facebook. So go look at sabertrio’s social medias to find that date. I haven’t been keeping up with them to know. Sorry
No that’s not why. That’s just the way the fonts are. Sabertrio gives you some fonts with smooth swing and others without. If you want more fonts with smooth swing you gotta buy them online and add them to the saber.

Yeah every sabertrio neopixel saber comes with all the same internal features. So yours will be able to do everything I showed in this video. The only thing different you can do is design how you want the hilt to look :)
Hey quick question this is a model I was looking at and wondering if you think it’s a good model just to practice swings and different forms as the neck is pretty thin
Honestly, if I were to get a lightsaber for legit swinging, I wouldn’t get this. When I hold the lightsaber, I hold it where the thin neck is and it can feel uncomfortable at times when I swing it around. I got this design bc aesthetically it looks cool. But that is just my opinion

As long as the pcb connector isn’t completely different and the OD (outside diameter) is the same (1”) you should be good to go! I’d also check out Bendu Armory, they have really good blades as well. There is 1 saber co in the USA that warrantees their Neopixel blades but I can’t remember right of hand but will post it here after I check on it
Hello there... I need to know, you can choose the non-iluminated switch activation before or after purchasing? If I load their page right now I see no option to costumize this, everything is sold out though.
However you want the saber to look, that’s how they’ll make it. So if you want the illuminated switch, you’d select that option when it’s available to buy. I chose the normal switch. Be sure to keep up with their social media’s to know when they’ll open up the website again to buy sabers!
@@rossb99 Oh yeah, I'd choose the normal switch as well because it makes it look more authentic, the iluminated one seems a toy thing. I'm just worried I'd get the wrong version if I get to order because I can only see the "activasion switch color" customization on their website, it literally says nothing about iluminated/non-iluminated. Thanks! And it’s normal. Only the first few fonts are made with smooth swing. You have to buy additional fonts from other websites if you want more smooth swing fonts

@@bananaspilt1988 Yeah if you want all these sound fonts, you have to get the neo configuration. Sabertrio’s website shows what each configurations comes with it if you wanted to know more about them
@@bananaspilt1988 and yeah it’s overall pretty light. But with everything put together, I’d hate for it to be heavier (like with a heavy grade blade). I feel like if you were to get the heavy grade blade, it would make the overall weight distribution be uncomfortable when you swing it around. But I’ve never tried it out so I may be wrong
First you have to decide what hilt you want. Then you have to pick what configuration you want that hilt in. Neopixel is the most expensive configuration and has smooth swing.
So a neopixel saber had the LED lights inside the blade. That allows you to give the saber cool effects like the kylo ren font. Also it makes the blade brighter and the scrolling effect looks like a legit saber when turning off and on. (Normal sabers has the lights in the hilt and shoots up into the hollow blade so they aren’t as bright throughout the blade and can’t do cool effects.) Then the neopixel sabers comes with smooth swing which makes every little movement on the saber sound like a legit lightsaber. It’s pretty cool when you have it in your hands. I hope that answers your questions. I know there’s TH-cam videos out there showing the differences so look those up if you want more info :)
There’s a small button on the opposite side of the main switch. It’s used to change the fonts and make the saber do different effects. You can see the button when I do a close up on the hilt at 5:07
Everything I showed in the video is how the saber is out of the box. I haven’t added any new fonts onto my saber yet. It is possible though. There’s websites that sell different sound fonts that you can buy and add to your saber.
Yeah. I enjoy swinging and spinning it around. Although the thin-neck design on this saber can be annoying sometimes when swinging it. I just got the thin-neck design because it looks cool in my opinion. Oh and smooth swing is really cool when swinging it

Nope, the hilt is still all together and feels strong. The only thing I have an issue with, is whenever I use the saber, it makes the blade click noise randomly (the noise it makes when you insert the blade). Kinda annoying but it’s whatever

@@Gabelleroux yeah that’s the blade I got. I’m not sure how the other blades compare. I got the mid grade bc I assumed the heavy grade would be thicker thus making it not as bright. The mid grade blade is definitely not something to duel with so keep that in mind. The heavy grade would be a better option to hit things with. But just for show, the mid grade is the way to go.
Well on camera it doesn’t exactly show the color the way it is in real life. The saber is bright, but it’s not like staring at a flashlight bright ya know. It’s just a bright LED tube

Idk if this’ll help, but if you plan on having the lightsaber be more of eye-candy, then I think the hilt I got would be good bc it’s similar to Obi-Wan’s and Luke’s lightsaber with the thin neck design. That’s just my opinion tho. But with the thin neck design and its weight distribution, the Reaver will probably be better because the thin neck kind of gets in the way when you want to have a comfortable saber to swing around. Either way you can’t go wrong
The cheapest hilt that they offer in Neopixel configuration is $399, the most expensive hilt is $499. There are other add ins if you want different things added, mid grade to heavy grade blade is +$10, weathered hilt/mirrored hilt +$25, illuminated activation switch +$2, blade plug+neo chip +$28 and if you don’t mind waiting a lil longer acid etched +$150. The only other hilt that has add ons that would be more is the Senza, shrouds +$25 and the OLED control box and display +$50.

Uhhh so I’ve never seen a heavy grade blade so I don’t know if a mid grade blade is brighter or not. If you think about it, it should be brighter bc the blade is thinner. That was my thought process in which one to pick. And I was in the same boat. I don’t plan on dueling with my saber. I just use it to swing around. The mid grade blade is perfect for that bc it’s not as heavy. The mid grade blade isn’t super thin to where it’ll break if you hit it on anything, it’s still a durable blade. So don’t be worried about that if you don’t plan on dueling with it.

I’m not expert on what sabertrio offers. But I know you need to get at least a FX saber for different colors. But if you want the saber to do custom effects like Kylo Ren, you’d have to buy a neo saber.
Cool video/cool saber but does it do vader? The blades are Delicate?? I want a Decent light saber I can run/work out with that has a better sound board and effects. They don’t make anything good for 150? How Delicate are these? And how much?
Thanks! Yes it has a Vader sound font. And I got the lightweight blade. It’s just a plastic tube with lights on the inside. So I’m gonna be very cautious with the blade bc they’re $100 each. They do have a heavy duty blade. But keep in mind the lights are in the blade, so you props shouldn’t be dueling with them. But all blades work well with swinging around!

Hi, wondering if you have issues with the blade coming loose on the Aeryn?
Sounds like its a common problem with this hilt and short 30mm hole.
I haven’t had an issue with the blade coming out but it does tend to make the click sound that it makes when you put the blade in, when you turn it on with the blade already on. I hope that makes sense. But yeah it’s not a big issue for me.

It’s not the color. It’s the brightness. I have no idea if the mid grade blade is brighter. I just assumed it will be brighter because it’s a thinner blade so the light can pass through the plastic better
The red one's look orange on camera. Do they look red in person though?
Yeah in person all the colors look normal. I don’t know why my camera made them not all look how they are in person. The saber can do different shades of some colors. And it can make a bright dark red color which is cool
How fast did orders sell out? Did you get it day 1 of reopening or did you wait?
They originally only said they will take 500 orders. But then the website was crashing constantly so they opened their site for 24 hours with no limit of how many people can order. And after the 24 hours, they stopped taking orders. So if you’re looking to buy one, be ready on the day they open back up!

How thick is the hilt? Did it feel overbearing and hard to get your whole hand around? I know this is the problem with a lot of Disney sabers so I'm wondering if it's the same for this one.
Oh it’s definitely not as thick as Disney sabers. The saber I got has a diameter of about 1.5 inches. The size of it looks and feels like a legit saber they would use in a Star Wars episode.

There’s a lot of brands out there. Do your own research and whatever looks good buy that. There’s some pretty cool ones out there now that I think are better than mine.

No that’s not why. That’s just the way the fonts are. Sabertrio gives you some fonts with smooth swing and others without. If you want more fonts with smooth swing you gotta buy them online and add them to the saber.

Yeah every sabertrio neopixel saber comes with all the same internal features. So yours will be able to do everything I showed in this video. The only thing different you can do is design how you want the hilt to look :)

Oh the hilt is definitely strong and won’t break. It’s made mostly of metal. The blade is the thing to worry about.

Hey quick question this is a model I was looking at and wondering if you think it’s a good model just to practice swings and different forms as the neck is pretty thin
Honestly, if I were to get a lightsaber for legit swinging, I wouldn’t get this. When I hold the lightsaber, I hold it where the thin neck is and it can feel uncomfortable at times when I swing it around. I got this design bc aesthetically it looks cool. But that is just my opinion

As long as the pcb connector isn’t completely different and the OD (outside diameter) is the same (1”) you should be good to go!
I’d also check out Bendu Armory, they have really good blades as well.
There is 1 saber co in the USA that warrantees their Neopixel blades but I can’t remember right of hand but will post it here after I check on it
Hello there... I need to know, you can choose the non-iluminated switch activation before or after purchasing? If I load their page right now I see no option to costumize this, everything is sold out though.
However you want the saber to look, that’s how they’ll make it. So if you want the illuminated switch, you’d select that option when it’s available to buy. I chose the normal switch. Be sure to keep up with their social media’s to know when they’ll open up the website again to buy sabers!
@@rossb99 Oh yeah, I'd choose the normal switch as well because it makes it look more authentic, the iluminated one seems a toy thing. I'm just worried I'd get the wrong version if I get to order because I can only see the "activasion switch color" customization on their website, it literally says nothing about iluminated/non-iluminated. Thanks! And it’s normal. Only the first few fonts are made with smooth swing. You have to buy additional fonts from other websites if you want more smooth swing fonts

@@bananaspilt1988 and yeah it’s overall pretty light. But with everything put together, I’d hate for it to be heavier (like with a heavy grade blade). I feel like if you were to get the heavy grade blade, it would make the overall weight distribution be uncomfortable when you swing it around. But I’ve never tried it out so I may be wrong
So it’s base order does that include neo pixel and smooth swing or do you have to buy them additionally
First you have to decide what hilt you want. Then you have to pick what configuration you want that hilt in. Neopixel is the most expensive configuration and has smooth swing.

What is the difference between a neopixel and a normal saber? Idk if that's an understanding question but uhm yeah
So a neopixel saber had the LED lights inside the blade. That allows you to give the saber cool effects like the kylo ren font. Also it makes the blade brighter and the scrolling effect looks like a legit saber when turning off and on. (Normal sabers has the lights in the hilt and shoots up into the hollow blade so they aren’t as bright throughout the blade and can’t do cool effects.) Then the neopixel sabers comes with smooth swing which makes every little movement on the saber sound like a legit lightsaber. It’s pretty cool when you have it in your hands. I hope that answers your questions. I know there’s TH-cam videos out there showing the differences so look those up if you want more info :)

What is that button you are clicking on the bottom of the saber?
There’s a small button on the opposite side of the main switch. It’s used to change the fonts and make the saber do different effects. You can see the button when I do a close up on the hilt at 5:07

Everything I showed in the video is how the saber is out of the box. I haven’t added any new fonts onto my saber yet. It is possible though. There’s websites that sell different sound fonts that you can buy and add to your saber.

Yeah. I enjoy swinging and spinning it around. Although the thin-neck design on this saber can be annoying sometimes when swinging it. I just got the thin-neck design because it looks cool in my opinion. Oh and smooth swing is really cool when swinging it

So I have my sights set on this hilt, my only concern is it’s a thin neck. Have you had any concerns or issues with it since you’ve gotten it like durability?
Nope, the hilt is still all together and feels strong. The only thing I have an issue with, is whenever I use the saber, it makes the blade click noise randomly (the noise it makes when you insert the blade). Kinda annoying but it’s whatever

@@Gabelleroux yeah that’s the blade I got. I’m not sure how the other blades compare. I got the mid grade bc I assumed the heavy grade would be thicker thus making it not as bright. The mid grade blade is definitely not something to duel with so keep that in mind. The heavy grade would be a better option to hit things with. But just for show, the mid grade is the way to go.

Well on camera it doesn’t exactly show the color the way it is in real life. The saber is bright, but it’s not like staring at a flashlight bright ya know. It’s just a bright LED tube

Idk if this’ll help, but if you plan on having the lightsaber be more of eye-candy, then I think the hilt I got would be good bc it’s similar to Obi-Wan’s and Luke’s lightsaber with the thin neck design. That’s just my opinion tho. But with the thin neck design and its weight distribution, the Reaver will probably be better because the thin neck kind of gets in the way when you want to have a comfortable saber to swing around. Either way you can’t go wrong

The cheapest hilt that they offer in Neopixel configuration is $399, the most expensive hilt is $499. There are other add ins if you want different things added, mid grade to heavy grade blade is +$10, weathered hilt/mirrored hilt +$25, illuminated activation switch +$2, blade plug+neo chip +$28 and if you don’t mind waiting a lil longer acid etched +$150.
The only other hilt that has add ons that would be more is the Senza, shrouds +$25 and the OLED control box and display +$50.
