They don't write their own jokes, its a team. At most, they write to each other jokes on occasion and this is something everybody loves mainly because Jost gets burned everytime

Sadly, this is the best part of SNL. The skits have been pretty weak past few years. Nothing like the older SNL. Even the early 2000s was way funnier.

She plays each character exactly the same, that fighter’s girl friend w the shaky voice. One trick pony. I was afraid when so many strong female players left that she would appear more often. I was right, unfortunately.

Bro these get better every week. The crowd was great and these jokes were brutal.
That last clip is so true, that encapsulates my uncle and grandmother perfectly! My mom and aunt are both successful women with great careers, my mom raised me, a son, by herself while building that career, meanwhile my uncle holds down the same job for more than a year and it’s like he cured cancer to my grandmother. Nothing my aunt, mom or myself do can be remarked upon without my grandmother chiming in with some mediocre thing he did.

The Bill Walton segment was pure gold! Crowd was subdued. Audience is made of artsy-fartsy NYers who don't watch sports? Rich NYers who can't be bothered with sports? I was in tears!
They were subdued because the segment wasn't funny at all. The crowd gave a few courtesy laughs but really the segment was horrible and I do watch a lot of sports. I don't know if he wrote this sketch himself or if interns are doing the writing now but he should stick to his imitation of Trump which is spot on and even occasionally funny.

Crazy non sequitur characters are easy but Heidi gets annoying self involved Italian women well (and feels up male co hosts regularly). Colin cracked up; rarity (sarcasm intended, of course)!

Anybody else notice how both Che and Jost seem to be caught off-guard with each other's jokes, as if they're hearing it for the first time? Reason I bring this up is that this spontaneity was a big reason why their "joke swaps" was so popular, wonder if they scrapped that and they're just going with these blindside jokes all the time now instead. If so, I wish they would just come out and say there will be no more "joke swaps".
