The Country Lite Ups.....Burnin' Love ( cover )

The year was 1981.....I gotta tell ya.....there's nothing like being a 10th grader and having your Dad ask if you would play guitar in his band. This is kinda where it all started for me. At first I really felt out of place being allowed to play music in bars & clubs...but after awhile...the people all kinda took me in. A good friend of the family " Dale Wigfield " did a recording for us in my parents basement, and I really had a hard time choosing the song I wanted to use in this video. Bob Watson was the bass player...but at times...the whole band would switch instruments...thus putting me on bass guitar. After Dad told me he wanted to start doing this song, I so wanted to play bass on it. It's kinda funny cause the longer we did the song...Dad kept doing it faster & faster. The song was done in C and it is actual speed. When I listen to it now...I can't believe we did it that fast.
My Dad passed away in 2014 and I created this video in his memory.
