You're on a roll! I really admire your discipline, and the content is incredibly engaging. Thanks for putting in the work to create it. Your channel is starting to remind me a lot of Josh Madakor before he blew up. You're genuinely changing lives, and it's clear you're also growing and learning along the way. Thanks again I appreciate everything you do.
I have taken and passed the CDSA and have finished 50% of the course for SOC101. Everything in the SOC101 is covered in the CDSA except for setting up a lab and phishing analysis. I outsourced the phishing analysis learning to THM when I saw it wasn't covered on CDSA but is covered on BTL1 but isn't a lot to learn about and is fairly quick to get caught up to speed with. I could complete the SOC101 material in about a week or two part-time, but it took me months to complete the work required for the CDSA and about 5 or 7 days (cant remember how long you get) of full-time work to take the exam (spent in the environment and writing my report) The CDSA spans more topics and gets further in-depth with the topics it covers than SOC101 does I would say that the PWK from TCM gets more in depth windows forensics than either of the two if that is something you are interested in. CDSA was just a monster of a course and exam compared to SOC101 but do appreciate that there are more and more hands on blue team educational content being made available to us. I would like to see an exam from TCM sec combining a lot of their blue team related content (PWK, SOC101, Detection Engineering & Malware Analysis) TL;DR SOC101 seems to be a much higher level view of the content but still enough to make you useful when it comes to using the tools & processes it teaches. Where the CDSA gets further in depth with all the tools and processes.
@@johnvardy9559 It really depends. Besides the pricing, CCD is little bit more advanced compared to CDSA. Also CCD has slightly higher HR recognition. CDSA is great after BTL1 but if you want to challenge yourself then go for CCD.

took me about 2-3 months with semi-full time study, Id imagine you could work through it in a month if you put your head down the entire time but would budget 2 months & a week for the exam

What about TCM new SOC101 course?
@@myles5253 happy to do a review :)

Bloody hell finally someone who gives info on what each course does and doesnt cover thank you 😂😂😂@@bmxtrev32
Compared to the CCD how much different is the content from the CDSA? CCD has a reputation of being a difficult exam. How does it that compare to CDSA?
I think they're quite comparable. I have another video coming soon about the exam experience and all.
im between CDSA, BTLVL1 AND LETS DEFEND ... I need one to start and then the next level . suggestion please
Are you able to have access to the CDSA certification course with VIP+ subscription?
Now i’m wondering if BlueTeam Level1 or Hackthebox CDSA? Please answer🙏
Depends on your budget, they’re both great options.
brb passing cdsa asap
You better 🫵🏽
After BTL1. Would you recommend CDSA cert or CCD?
Either or Both! Depending on your budget: )
@@DayCyberwoxIf Budget isnt a Problem, which one i will Go for?
@@johnvardy9559 both then!

I would do just training material, not paying for the exam/cert, noname cert, but material`s good
Fair point but I’d still take the exam. It’s only a matter of time before it gains more traction.

I have the BTL1 certification already, do you think it would still be worth it to get the CDSA or would it be redundant?
It’ll be very much worth it!
How long does the whole learning and exams take how many months
took me about 2-3 months with semi-full time study, Id imagine you could work through it in a month if you put your head down the entire time but would budget 2 months & a week for the exam
Which would you recommend, if you only had to pick one? This cert or Blue Team Level I
HTB CDSA go deeper in knowledge, BTL1 is way easier but BTL1 is more recognizable.
Best regards
@@josemmm11 if you're a beginner do btl1 first then CDSA not to overwhelm and discourage yourself. ( I am a CDSA holder)
@@furkanyaman7298 i already got CDSA. But you are right . BTL1 is more beginer friendly.
@@josemmm11 okay thank you
@@furkanyaman7298 thank you, has the CDSA helped further you in your career?
