ET's "Inside Profile" on Joe Lando [2.64]

ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT's "Inside Profile" segment on Joe Lando on the set of DR. QUINN, MEDICINE WOMAN. Includes an interview with Joe, behind-the-scenes footage, and clips from Joe's own video camera. (Transcript below.)
TRANSCRIPT:
[Narrator] Audiences may also be looking to get a glimpse of the show's hot, young, hunk, Joe Lando. Lando came from the soap ONE LIFE TO LIVE and now he's settling nicely into prime time.
[Narrator] In the new CBS series, DR. QUINN, MEDICINE WOMAN, Joe Lando plays mountain man Bryon Sully, whose closest friends are the Cheyenne Indians and a wolf. When Jane Seymour arrives and becomes the town doctor, they, too, become close friends.

[Director] And... action!
[Narrator] The role is a very physical one, but Lando says that's OK because he grew up mixing it up on the streets of Chicago, and it's much better now. When we sat down with Joe, the shiner he was wearing came from the Hollywood make-up department.
[Joe] Well, I grew up in a rowdy school, and I was, ah, you know, fearless. I got in a lot of brawls. My nose has been busted about 5 times... and they were never my fault!
[Crew] Slow down, Joe! Slow down!
[Narrator] Joe has had to learn some new skills for the show, including bareback riding and tomahawk throwing.
[Joe] It's a great sport. It beats darts.
[Joe] It's just been great. I'm learning some things, and I think every time I go from one show to another, or whatever, I try to pick up something I can take with me.
[Narrator] Ever present on the set is Joe's video camera. He's been shooting since Dr. Quinn began, catching some very interesting moments. For example, Jane getting dirty.
[Crew] Roll, roll...
[Narrator] Johnny Cash was on the set, doing a guest shot.
[Joe] Can you give me one of those famous, "I'm Johnny Cash?"
[Johnny] Hello, I'm Johnny Cash.
[Narrator] Lando's camera has also caught some genuine excitement, such as the day a flash flood wiped out production.
[Joe] Run for your lives!
[Narrator] A crew member caught this moment. Joe and a rattle snake. There is plexiglass between the two. For Lando, the most exciting day was working with this 900-pound grizzly.
[Joe] Come on, grizzly! Come on! Come on!
[Joe] Got the heart pumping! One day I'm on one side of the wall and he's on the other and he's pushing on it, and I'm thinking any minute... 'cause in rehearsal the week before, he had knocked the whole wall down.
[Narrator] DR. QUINN only just started airing as a mid-season replacement. Although the future of the show is unknown, Lando is very proud of what he has done so far.
[Joe] It's been a great experience. It's a quality show, it's something I'll be proud of, and if it doesn't go any further than that, than that's fine.
[Narrator] Because their show has received good ratings in the early going, both Joe Lando and Jane Seymour are expecting a call from CBS asking for more episodes of DR. QUINN, MEDICINE WOMAN.
