HI John as of now there is no application which is supported by Mac for uploading or upgrading firmware on Skywatcher , however you can use VMware virtual machine to run windows on your mac and then follow the process. Let me know if you are interested in this process and I will make a video for you for steps

Yes it is avaiable in two version earlier version did not had wifi. This is the latest version which has wifi built in for wireless control it is called star Adventurer 2i and will have wifi marked on the body.
Hello, i recently bought star adventurer and i have a problem. Even if i turn the clutch all the way, there is still some playback on polar scope, maybe about 5 degree that actually affects the tracking in the midway. Do you know how to fix this?
Hi the clutch normally do not have that kind of movement , i only experienced that movemennt when it is overloaded. Try reducing the weight or load on the star adventurer
Hi i guess this looks like an issue thats requires repair, you can request for service from manufacturer or i can do a quick video on teardown of the skywatcher for you so that you know how are things placed inside the skywatcher so that you can repair yourself. My friend power indicator is a hardware indication of power applied to skywatcher. If it is not turning on most probably you have a hardware issue than software. However if you want, you can use usb cable to try to update the skywatcher again. If it still do not work please take it to service center. I hope this helps. My update failed, star adventurer wont switch ON now. Help. Celestron is like maybe it needs service. I haven't used it more than 4 times and its still under warranty
In my openion power on has nothing to do with firmware as power indicator is onboard indicator hardware. However if you still feel its firmware issue try updating using wired connection , it is the same process just connect via usb cable. Since it is not turning on as you say it might not be useful but you can try. If it still doesn't work please send it for repair most probably its inbuilt circut is fried. I hope this helps. Most of the time when i get this issue i normally restart my phone or my tracker. I would also recommend to update the firmware of the tracker as it might fix any compatibility or stability issues. Also i would recommend to use any other device like PC to check if you get same error, this will help you narrow down the cause of issue is tracker or phone. I hope this helps. Try different browser is possible as i just tried i did not see any issue , also firmware file cannot be opened you need to load it via firmare uploader to tracker
just connect to pc using usb ,download non wifi motorcontroller 1.78 top one which is loader , and download firmware that is it no ascom nothing else no app mode etc

I dont know what you understood by video, but once you have downloaded all the files and required software you can disconnect wifi and connect to wifi generated by the mount to update or you can watch in parallel this video on your phone or other device to follow the instructions in parallel. Mine did the same so I installed the 1.78 version firmware loader and did it through USB cable instead was a lot less messing around
For anyone looking for an answer for this issue. Install the ASCOM plataform before this step and the error will be no longer displayed
