I have some really thin ones like some of those you have and I love the boxes...AND they are really beautiful but THIN...So I thought about maybe taking the lid off and building up the sides and then put the lid back on it...don't know...any thoughts???
O.k. here it goes. I don't play and haven't built a cbg. But I got a lot of ideas for your quandary. Lol. The Sin Compriso possibly make a good start to a lap steel. I'm sure u can find ways around all the obstacles. It might be cool though. The Emerson box I thought about photo shopping the graphics inside the box and print on a decal sort of. Then it could be used for a sort of camouflage for any electrics and maybe make it seamless. And if using a tailpiece perhaps you could use a cow catcher inspired idea. All the boxes are pretty cool and I would have a time drilling a hole in one. Snapping my suspenders and spitting some chaw. Have fun. Thanks for the video
The black Warfighter box would be perfect with a whammy bar!!
11:45 use one of those blocks as part of the neck heel or the headstock…
That's a great idea, I am going to look into that.
Looking forward to what you come up with. 👍
Thank you!
I have of some of the same boxes, that Forbidden box is so nice looking, you don't even want touch it!!!!
Thanks, yeah I was a little worried cutting into the Forbidden...lol
@robertbyrdsguitars I can't blame you so when you cut into, it has to precisely done right.

That's not a bad idea... if you have at least an inch inside it should be fine as long as you are using a good hardwood.

How long do you cut your neck blanks since you don’t have a box matched yet?
The blanks are matched to the box...I measured each one against the box before I cut them.
