i'm saying this as an artist, squeezing out that much paint at once is a complete waste of time and money. i know of some artists that use that technique and they find it useful, but there again they get money from their art work.
another reason i don't suggest this technique is how messy it looks. if you want to achieve texture like that then i would get a dab of paint on a brush and lightly tap the canvas.
edit: im reading some of these comments and i genuinely cant believe that some people waste their time... the only reason i wrote this comment was to share my opinion and give tips to new artists. im not trying to say that my art is better but im giving my suggestions on how you can save paint. sure, some people have more money than others but others might not. so think before you post a reply saying that im being mean or saying there is only one way to paint. thank you.

I have the money to afford more paint, but it still physically hurts me to see how much paint was wasted for such disappointing results. I just didn't like the waste or style they used.

Traniece Rennis artists use a lot of paint for good looking, well done paintings. And on the other hand this... it’s very easy to make a rainbow with paint, fuck the un-useful supplies. Fellow artists like me would love their paint and put it to good use, but these bastards waste it on things you could buy at the dollar store! (Sorry for the cussing, I’m a bit used to it now).

NO! You can’t smudge the paper with your finger, use a paper towel, tolit paper, or a Q-tip
