I always loved Petra's songs and performances. The lyrics are so solidly Biblical, and the fact that they still have such good sounding voices well past their heyday of popularity is amazing. Most singers lose their high notes as they age, but not Volz and the others (who are singing harmonies even higher than Greg).

Greg Volz has one of the best voices in Christian rock IMO. Could really hit the high notes back in the day and even here he does at his age...amazing! This is a great tune, never really paid attention to the name Adonai before I heard this song the first time in the 1980s.

One of Petra's all time classics @jr Rj. Why make those negative comparisions? Greg does a fantastic job and so did Jon in his own way. Somgs like Creed and Beyond belief are all time classics too. And I could not imagine anyone else then John Schlitt sing those two songs. Just give both singers the credits they deserve for the things they did with Petra.

I have all of Petra's albums with Greg and the early ones with John's vocals. It's really convenient to find this here. You can't find music like this on Christian radio anymore. You got to wade through all the Hip-Pop. Thanks for sharing.
