I think her intention is essentially explain something like feng shui-Cacti are not negative plants, but perhaps they serve the purpose to contributing to positive energy outside the home, not inside the home. Specific plant you showed in picture with title is that particular issue with money ? You just gave energy information but title was different plz clear about the plant ?
There may be some plants that emits toxic juice or sap but i never heard that it brings bad luck. In fact they are living things too thus this is the reason why it creates positive energy.
There is no Vastu problems associated with aloe vera inside home, but keep it away from kids. Better you keep it outside the house as it require sunlight and hot climate. North and East direction is ideal to place aloe plant.
