I am glad that you went back to the place where it happened dude. I still have to go back to the same street to face the curve that laid me down. Cheers from a brother in SoCal. I'm happy you're doing well.
After my accident, they were going to write my bike off (2018 forty eight), there was roughly $4000 CDN in damage. I did not want the bike written off. No frame damage, no front end damage and no damage to any of the tins. The damage was the 2 mirrors, turn signals, left side lower fork tube, both mid controls, my 2-1 exhaust, my rear bung king frame sliders (they saved the bike, without them both sides of the bike would have been smashed to hell and I have carbon fiber fenders and side panels). That changed very quickly when I sent them $27 500 in receipts from the year I had owned the bike (Progressive suspension 13 inch 490 series shocks, progressive suspension adjustable monotube cartridge forks, daytona steering damper, westcoast tbars 10 inch mx tbars, saddlemen step up seat, led head and tail lights, HD tach, HD fuel gauge built into the tach with 600 colours to choose for the needle, backround and analog area to completely customize the tach and shows miles to empty, gear indicator and some other cool options (yes, I have 2 fuel gauges haha) HD master cylinder cap fuel gauge (replaces the stock cap with a small lcd window showing fuel level and since the stock master has the same shape as the XR1200 master I was able to use it on the new master) HD lcd oil temp/level dipstick, carbon fiber fenders and side panels, mid controls, Brembo radial calipers, pads, and two 11.5 inch brembo floating rotors with black aluminum carriers for the front and rear, with a rebuffini bracket to run the radial caliper and larger rear rotor and a speed merchant bracket to fit the radial caliper to the front, XR1200 master cylinder, braided brake lines, Barnett extra plate clutch, Barnett billet pressure plate, Barnett 25% diaphram spring, Magnum black pearl clutch cable with 1FNGR easy pull clutch and brake levers, v&h stainless 2-1 upsweep exhaust(now bassani road rage 3 stainless 2-1 becaus the v&h got destroyed and they are back ordered until August so the Bassani will do for now), s&s teardrop intake, v&h fp3 (replacing with thundermax ECM), Screamin Eagle 10mm plug wires and Screamin Eagle plugs, Dynatek EFI ignition coil, S&S 1250cc jugs with S&S 10.5:1 forged flat top pistons, Feuling 505/515 cams, Feuling Endurance valve springs, Feuling HP+ lifters, Hammer Performance push rods, buell bronze oil pump drive gear, HD wrinkle black upper rocker boxes, HD gloss black rail collection lower rocker boxes, HD gloss black rail collection primary cover/inspection cover, HD gloss black derby cover, HD gloss black rail collection chopped cam cover,HD gloss black pushrod tubes and HD gloss black lifter base, Feuling points cover, black HD gas cap, gloss black headlight trim and so much more. That being said, after i sent the receipts they too did not want to total it. It happened in november and I should finally get the bike back next week due to parts shortages, and to say I am excited is an under statement! Sorry for the huge story! Lol
