Bonnie is odd. Times on shows he isn't normally allowed to sing live she appears to insist like TOTP etc in the early days and others she mimes the early singles she performed live more , I wonder if holding out for a hero was considered strenuous. . By total eclipse and I need a hero she was miming like the rest on TOTP though there are a few "live vocals" ones off award shows and foreign shows with a miming band and her singing live over the top. What made her back down and not stand her ground. Recently she sang live but not the last few have not been . There was one from a German TV show and she did 8 minutes of what seemed to be pre recorded recent vocals and then they played the 39 year old total eclipse album version and with a straight face the 65+ year old Bonnie tried to mime it like it was done live and she was fooling nobody I think . Bless her she can still sing but nobody sounds the same after 40 years. That said Petula Clark I think in like 2010 mimed downtown to the studio track and that was an embarrassment and so painful to watch I don't know why she agreed to do it she was almost 80 and it was a 50 odd year old track, then again like Bonnie she can still sing anyway in fact better than most at 86 or whatever she now is.
