The reason was that doing the whole song for the MV would've gotten too expensive
@goodfella1401 That's just speculation. I listened to the stream where Simon and the creative director tried to explain. Budget was never mentioned. It doesn't make sense either, since going so over budget would seem very unprofessional for a team that is used to producing high budget videos. Everything they've done has been pro level.
