I’ve seen some people criticize that the palette doesn’t have a cohesive color story. My reaction is who cares. There are so many one and done colors it’s a dream for people like me who don’t want to mess with 5 or more shadows to create a great look and don’t give a flip about using a “transition” color. I guess being old enough to remember when all I owned was colorful Dior quints and never wore brown, has its plusses. I don’t really care what TH-cam or Instagram tell me is “wearable” for my age. I won’t buy this beauty only because I have both Star Wars palettes and can dupe the 6 new colors with Viseart and indie shadows I own. But it’s still very tempting.
I find it funny when the same people who complain about a lack of cohesion will often complain about boring everyday palettes, when what they really seem to want in terms of cohesion is a monochromatic palette in a specific colour. Personally, I think all these colours are fairly complementary if more than one shade is used but yeah, it also makes a great one and done palette and you're spoilt with choice if you choose to do that.
I was just irritated with Pat for the Star Wars collection. It was crazy how quickly things were bought up and resold for triple the price and nothing was appealing to buy two palettes for different color stories. I liked the colors once this new palette launched bc it made sense. I understand both sides to this launch but I bought it bc it was chance of getting something limited edition overall for a reasonable price.
I have so many matte shadows, I'm actually glad that i have a palette of mostly beautiful shimmers that I can pair with my other mattes. People have so many eyeshadow palettes, why is it a bad thing to have to grab for another palette to make a look?
I'm not paying $78 for a one-and-done color I want some intricate looks especially if you had hooded eyes you have to have something to define the crease I'll send $35 at the most for a pop of color palette
I’m not scared of the shimmers!!! I have a lot of palettes that are all matte and I also have the Jackie palette! I’m so excited because this is going to be my first actual Pat McGrath palette i’ll own!!!!
Works very well with the Jackie Aina palette and there’s a dupe in there too. 3rd row, 3rd shadow in Pat’s palette is a dupe for sponsored in the JA palette.
It's sad that for this holidays season we're not having the special shades from PMG but this palette is really beautiful, maybe I'll waite for a discount.

I couldn't grab the SW palettes so I'm very happy that Pat brought back these shades. For me this is an everyday palette, because I'm wearing glasses I need my eyelook to have more humpf... My order was confirmed 2mns after the beginning of the launch but it still has not shipped, which is very annoying because I live in France, so I will have to wait for a very long time before receiving it. But it is what it is. I love the color scheme and the price point, this was a very pleasant surprise for me 😍👌
I had galaxy gold but missed out on dark galaxy (was even thinking of falling for those 200+ prices but I'm glad I held on) so this was a blessing! I'm glad the formula didn't get compromised and I honestly love the smaller pans

I bought this due to the black friday sales pat is offering on her website. I have never owned a pat mcrath palette before . I love shimmers more than mattes and i also love bold or glam shades so i had to try this palette

I'm a newbie to her brand and this was the first palette I got from her and the way it was advertised it made it look like some of the shades were that really special glittery type formula that I lust after from other brands. I was kind of disappointed to not get them and it made me feel (along with other things) that this palette isn't worth $78
