Slump on flouncy mold:

350-1290-10 (I think I could probably go 1275 next time - know your own kiln!)

Love this piece. If you wanted to skip spreading out the glass in a second firing could you have just slumped it after your 1st firing?
Yes, that certainly could have worked.
Gorgeous! BTW, you can "measure" the size of your piece after the first firing by freezing a frame of the film at just the right time and counting the squares in the grid under it. The squares are approximately 1/2".
Did you use the 10.5 or 12.5 stainless steel circle from Bonny Doon?

Thank you for a very inspiring video. Since I do not have such a mould, I am wondering how to
put such a ready made round glass base in a mould that doesn't have a hole for it, without causing the whole round glass to sink and swallow it. Any suggestions?
Alternatively , any suggestions for hanging a flat backed round piece?
I don’t have suggestions other than to experiment and know you may have to risk that glass. Regarding hanging, I know a lot of people have mentioned this but I’ve never used it. Honestly, may be easier to just spring for the mold. 😂
