By far, I think your best excursion even more so than the Jamaica trip with Lauren. The people of Columbia are friendly and accommodating to tourists. The dollar goes farther there than one might think and it’s safe if done correctly. Kudos on the filming as the scenery was brilliant Kelly. Well done!

What a video Kelly! When you mention in the costa rica vlog that you will go to amazonia river I couldn't wait to watch this episode. I'm from venezuela and my mom was raised in a city close to Orinoco river and when I was a kid she told me few stories about the piranhas in Orinoco river. I've never been there but the fact that you were so close to venezuela it shows to me how epic it can be! What a trip and memories you got. I laughed about the soap. Kelly, be careful putting your hands under water. Could be a piranha there and bite off your hand. When you all landed in the beginning I noticed the tall sloping rock you hand to climb up. Could be a little slippery. Be really careful going back down. You don't want to slip and fall. It is a beautiful area out in nature but think I prefer being closer to the tourist area. Also a hotel room more secure. Have fun and be careful Kelly. You always out do your videos!

Something I learned when I was a kid in Boy Scouts . When going on a long trip in the bush take bruers yeast it comes in vitamin form , for at least two weeks before hand (saturation period) it really helps with mosquitoes, no seems, nats , ticks and other bitting insects. Now. This is not 100 % , but with local remedies you should be a little more comfortable. 😉

Maybe the primitive and unfamiliar surroundings, but the first 8-9 minuets felt like an intro to a movie where you expected something bad was going to happen. The recent sailboat series in the Bahamas is certainly a contrast of Worlds. Very unique and interesting to see a place so different than south Fla..

Gosh Kelly! I don’t know where to begin! You have a keen eye for content! I went along wondering how the shot would look if you had an assistant doing the camera work but then…meh, too impersonal. You would prop up your GoPro just fine and it gave me a more “being there” feeling. Columbia is beautiful! Thank you for bringing us along! Looking forward to upcoming videos for more! Be safe out there! When you were standing on that steep bank I thought, “What if she slipped and went in? The piranhas would attack and no more Kelly!!” Please be careful. Hey that’s so cool I’m from Venezuela my first fishing experience where at Orinoco River many species
I helped to build a log house boat to explore the Amazon river from Iquitos , Peru to Benjamin Constance , Brazil for 2 months way back in 1989 ... To help keep the mosquitos from biting ... Put a little 100% DEET around your ankles . don't wear black -navy blue or red clothes - stick with white or beige. Buy fragrance free soap - shampoo and deodorant to use . We caught loads of red belly Piranha without using bait . Some of them easily bite our fish hooks in 1/2 ! most of them were small but they are absolutely DELICIOUS ! Yes those Devil Fish are nasty lookin .. there are a few other prehistoric looking fish in the waters !
