HARLEM is a neighborhood in Upper Manhattan, New York City. It is bounded roughly by the Hudson River on the west; the Harlem River and 155th Street on the north ; Fifth Avenue on the east; and Central Park North on the south. The greater Harlem area encompasses several other neighborhoods and extends west to the Hudson River, north to 155th Street, east to the East River, and south to Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, Central Park, and East 96th Street. Originally a Dutch village, formally organized in 1658, it is named after the city of Haarlem in the Netherlands.

greetings from Russia to all New Yorkers! Your city is beautiful, despite the disadvantages, the soul of a person lives in New York, it is different and beautiful, I love New York , someday I will be visiting you . This is the most unique city in the world on our planet ! May God grant all New Yorkers good and health, I love you New York ❤
@@Santiago-ny2ht Thank You !!!
Wish to visit Moscow and Saint Petersburg one day ...
Not agreeing with homosexuality is not homophobia and you don't believe in free speech.
@@Santiago-ny2htnew York is not only bpt beautiful. It is down right disgusting
what camera do u use? good stabilisation
This is what I love about NYC. Just walking down the street is far more entertaining than watching TV.
So true, just left there, walked that exact journey. visited my cousin who lives in Harlem, wonderful time. Look forward to going back soon.
I like to watch the video's from the 80's. You can see some 80's gangs like the "Savage Skulls" and the "Savage Nomads".
Fully agree ❤
Come to Berlin Germany is better here
@@stefanhobeckk I will I will , have been in Stuttgart, Munich, Gunzburg, Hamburg, Frankfurt 😉. I started some time ago to learn German, but is hard as I don’t have someone to talk with, have to exercises!
It crazy to think every person in this video has their own stories and life...Greetings from Fresno, California

Nah. Not crazy. Not “crazy.” /
You do t go out much now do you ?
I am 75 years old as long as I remember I have always wanted to visit New York especially Harlem, but did not have anyone to go with. This video is wonderfull I love all hustle and bustle and the amount of people, thank you for your video
Should have went alone! And there is still time!! To anyone reading this never hold yourself back because you’ll have to be alone. Life is worth experiencing, we were born alone learning how to enjoy yourself alone is one of the best things you can do❤
I live in the deep south of New Zealand. I could never afford to go overseas ( too old now anyway ). But today , I took a walk down the streets Of Harlem, in New York city. And it was beautiful . Thank you so much for making these videos. You have another subscriber and looking forward to more.
Thank You 🙏🏻
Trust me, your not missing anything here if you live anywhere in NZ
Bless you.

😮 save money, don’t visit New York, Chicago, LA. Check out Miami- much nicer, clearer and safer.
No music no commentary, I enjoyed it ❤🏴🇬🇧
i prefer the music its the richest of its musical art forms that made what is
the likes of the great jhon lennon came to america for that
thats what he loved about New York the sounds of the rhythms ,the bongos ,drums percussion ge heard at night
its all become sanitised , dull ,boring
wish i was around to hear and experience the block parties ,sounds of funk ,disco, and early hip hop electro days of malcolm mclaren three buffalo girls
newcleus jam on it
Here's a LIKE! I walked the streets of Harlem for 45 mins from my couch in Los Angeles and I didn't even get tired! I didn't even need my walker. Thanks Julien🎉

Thank You !
Where do you come from ?
@@JulienInNYC I am Croatian, but I live and work in Switzerland 1 year now :)
I'm a frequent visitor of New York City, and I always take the chance to go to Harlem. I had to say the thing I like most, I would the say the soul food restaurant, where they serve the most delicious food I ever ate, which is the banana pudding. I highly recommend anyone who never tasted it to try it. Greetings from Italy.
Thank you for the really nice walk!
So beautiful and impressive, i love it!
A lot nicer than I expected.
I love TH-cam for Things like that! Sitting here on a Monday evening in South-Germany and make a walk through Harlem without book a fly, spend money or whatever (what I am willing to do anyway someday). 😂 The Video is extremely sharp and it's like it's me walking there. The same for the whole USA or Japan or Africa. Within 10 Seconds I am in a foreign city and see people I will never met in my whole life.
Strange, funny and sad at the same time.
Have a good, healthy & long life all together!
👋
its amazing isnt it

I definitely like the atmosphere of this district, so nice music
this video really captures the soul of Harlem thank you for sharing this great experience
Thank You !
I'm a Native New Yorker from the South Bronx. My aunt and cousins lived in Harlem. I spent a lot of time there growing up. It looks so beautiful. I love seeing my people, hearing all their dialects, African American, Africa, Caribbean and Afro Latin like me.🇵🇷🇨🇺It's warming to see that the culture is still hanging on strong. Big ups from a Bronx Cuban Nuyorican living in Rome💪🏿💪🏾💪🏽❤️💋😢
Thank You 🙏🏻
Hope you enjoy Italy !
Rome is a fantastic city
@@JulienInNYC 🇮🇹👍🏾
This place that you love doesn't seem diverse and it's hostile to Whites and Asians because they always get beat up and robbed. I also always hear people making white and Asian derogatory jokes.
Lol can’t take ur opinion serious as u have an obvious bias
@@lf1496 why did you leave for italy if I can ask? I'm Italian myself and it's usually us Italian going to the USA and not the reverse 😅
Amazing.. beatifull

*Beautiful city and beautiful neighborhoods. I wish the common people of America all the blessings and prosperity. We deeply respect your history and culture. With respect from Russia !!!*
Thanks for this. Im from Sydney, Australia, on my first ever visit to the US started in NYC and spent 2 weeks in an apartment on west 126th st. just a few doors down from Corner Social. Loved every minute of those 2 weeks in NY. Nice to see the old neighborhood again.
Thanks for this

Wow that's pretty clean .
Thank's for the visit. Looks like a modern city.

Thanks! I swear as much as people say NYC is falling apart it still resembles what I
saw there and is still waay better than the black social desert I live in.

Very intresting, thank you for your walk! Greeting from Germany
You showed the culture perfectly 🔥
Excelent !!!
I'm very grateful for your work .😊
As someone from Harlem and no longer live there it was a nice nostalgia watching this and seeing ppl comments are either pleasant or irritating. The irritation comes from ignorant comments from horrible assumptions
Thank You … and I agree about ignorant people.

@@JulienInNYC Yet you liked a racist comment by someone saying they expected a jungle ghetto. You knew exactly what you were doing😒
Tired of you non Blacks exploiting Black people, our neighborhoods and culture, for profit and giving NOTHING back to our community.
I’m going to New York for the first time next week I’m so excited I can’t wait to see Times Square Harlem Brooklyn etc
This was wonderful! I really enjoyed it. I felt like I was there. I would love to see you explore Chinatown next❤️😄🤞

Vibrant. I really do hope I get to walk those very streets one day in the not so distant future.

Julien, i love the audio in this !
Greetings Tom Belgium.
I like your video very much. Very authentic. I find it a bit strange that a lot of the old houses in this neighborhood are still in pretty good shape. Different people with different moods and with different beliefs.
Watching from Panama City Beach, Florida. I enjoyed this. Pretty cool look at NYC

Beautiful. I lived here (Madison and 119th) for a year and a half when I was in the US, and I miss it. The old brick buildings, the churches, the brownstones, the parks, the different restaurants, it just had such a nice vibe.
@@vladbannedme3.025 oh those were everywhere, not just Harlem lol

Bonjour de Normandie , pas comme chez nous en France. J'ai été à Harlem le Bronx en 1990 , on s'est fait poursuivre.....Mais vive New York...🥰🥰
Are you NPC?

Why is this so relaxing to watch
Whenever I read or see "Harlem" it comes to mind when I was a minor (in the 80s) and watched the "Harlem Globetrotters" cartoons, or as an adult listened to the Gospel Choirs; They are iconic.
Greetings from Santiago of Chile 🇨🇱, South America.
My hometown Harlem is so gentrified now, nevertheless I will always love Harlem ❤
Nice vid. Yeah, if anyone of those white skinned people walked in Harlem in 1970's 80's they would not survived making it to the end of a street block corner!...FACT!
Wow what a place! Reminds me alot of parts of London. Quite old fashioned, people chilling, people on the grind, no massive chain shops. I'm coming across the pond this Christmas to NYC, I'll def be sure to come to Harlem and explore.
There are heaps of massive chain shops in harlem, its heavily gentrified. Wholefoods, H&M just to name a few
No way, only parts of London that could resemble this is Peckham, Harlesden, Camberwell, Brixton (to an extent) and Tottenham and all these places I mentioned are on a much smaller scale. I would say those places are 1/8th of Harlem in size or smaller... In terms of looks, nothing like London. New York looks closer to Toronto (or the other way round) to any other city outside the U.S.A
