In early summer, the weather is clear. Sunlight grazes the leaves, chasing the wind and clouds; silver bells ring melodiously over the water. In ancient times, summer was also called "Zhuming," meaning fiery and bright. In summer, everything is fluid, sparkling, and vividly distinct.
The joy of reading is endless, the melody of the zither brings a fragrant breeze.
For the Song Dynasty poet Weng Sen, this is the perfect season for reading:
New bamboo presses on the eaves, mulberry surrounds all sides,

对于宋人翁森来讲，此时却是读书的好时节：
新竹压檐桑四围，小斋幽敞明朱曦。
昼长吟罢蝉鸣树，夜深烬落萤入帏。
北窗高卧羲皇侣，只因素稔读书趣。
